Don't be silly, Toto...

...there's no tornado coming.

Eh, well there COULD have been. Yesterday afternoon the National Weather Service issued a Tornado Warning for my area.

In a matter of moments my father called, my sister called and I called S to share the impending doom and warn them. My stepmother went outside to secure the loose items outside as the clouds began to darken.

And me? I went outside too...in order to record the swirling clouds and take pictures of the evil looking sky.

It might be hard to see, but the clouds were moving pretty quickly, joining together to create one big, dark, ominous sky.

Please accept my apologies for all the talking in the background. And don't make fun of my accent. I can't hear it, but I'm sure you can.

Thank goodness I carry my point & shoot camera everywhere with me so I could get a few shots of the sky. (I love my new camera but it's too bulky to carry around, and it was too expensive to leave in my car.)

Fortunately the warning expired around 4:30 yesterday and everything was good for the rest of the evening. In fact, there was a beautiful pink sky last night as the sun went down.

I would have taken some pictures of that too, except So You Think You Can Dance was on...and well, you know I'm a reality tv show addict so just use your imagination.

First of all your accent is too cute! I've never seen a tornado in person but I can't stop watching them on tv. They give me the creeps and I like it! Of course if I ever saw one i'd probably have a heart attack and drop dead.

So You Think You Can Dance is one of my FAVORITE summertime shows! It makes me want to take a million dance classes and audition (of course I would be on the highlight reel of awful people who think they are good!)

I love your accent. The clouds look really scary. Hmm, our earthquakes, drought, and wildfires aren't looking too bad. I do miss a good thunderstorm though.

Dangit, they wouldn't play for me. I wanted to hear your accent. I'll go try it on FB.
Glad yall didn't have a tornado. We had some pretty bad storms last night but don't know if there were any warnings. I was already in bed and didn't feel like getting up!

I'll wait till EE to pass judgement on the accent. Or maybe Vegas :-)

But the scary clouds...I love thunderstorms. Maybe because I've never been through a tornado. Madalyn is terrified.

That is one angry looking sky! Glad there was not a tornado after all:0)

Accent? What accent? I lived in the south too long I think.

I've NEVER seen So You Think You Can Dance. I take it that you recommend it, huh?

As a lifelong Kentuckian, I never noticed the accent either...hehehe...but man, what an ominous looking sky? That looks like the kind of sky that will come down and incinerate your genitals with it's storm clouds!

You can't hear that accent? It's as thi-yuck as mud, dahlin'. " )

I wish I had an accent. British to be specific. Then I could say Bugger and bollocks and not sound like a dork.

Cool pictures. I think I'd be freaking out though.

We've had some bad weather over here but thankfully no tornado warnings.

Ooo, that is scary. Glad it turned out ok. Storms are cool but they scare the crap out of me.

We've had tornado warnings every afternoon this week. Geesh...they're exciting, but calming the children down is quite an ordeal.

Tornado warnings can ben scary...but the pics are wicked cool.

And SYTYCD is way more important than a pink sky.

Just sayin'.

Storm clouds and SYTYCD--sounds like my kind of night!

Shoot! I've got two sleeping kiddos next to me in bed so I can't watch the videos right now...but I love the dark cloud pics.

Glad the big bad tornado never showed up!

I've got a fun tag over at my place if you are interested...

I love your voice and accent! Do you know who you sound like? You sound like Calli (sp?) on CSI: Miami.

I love listening to her talk!

Those are some pretty menacing skies...I'm glad I don't live in tornado country.

I do live in Earthquake-ville though!

Wait.. I think Poppy is on Without a Trace.. hell I don't know what show she's on..
