"I don't even know her last name..."

...this is going to be a long one...

I was talking last night with S and as usual we were throwing little jabs back at each other. It's not personal and if you've ever been around us, we just tease like that.

S said the ever popular "Your mama" and I'm like "Why would my mama be reading our local paper?"

S replies "So she can see SS listed for being on the A/B honor roll." And I returned with "She doesn't even know his name." Then SS yelled from his room wanting to know what we were talking about and that led to a conversation about how S has never met my Mother.

Yes you read that right. It's true. We have been married 12 years and he's never met my Mother. In fact I haven't talked to her in at least that long. And since she's remarried, I don't even know her last name.

And I'm okay with that.

My Dad & her got married prior to my birth but they were only 15 at the time. Obviously I don't know all the details being that I was very young, but what I do remember is spending a lot of time with my Granny.

Even though my parents were always there my Granny took over because they were so young and not exactly equipped to deal with a baby. I don't know if it's because of this or not, but I always shared a bond with my Granny more like that of a mother/daughter relationship.

Although she tried, I think this irked my Mother and we truly never got along. I can remember coming home from school to snacks, dinners together and a pretty normal life. Her extended family was always around, especially for holidays.

My first sister was born when I was two, so I don't remember much before that but I was old enough to notice a few things when my second sister was born 7 years later. I'm pretty sure she was a last resort at saving their marriage.

And it worked for a while.

Then my Mother went crazy. Literally. I remember her locking herself in the bathroom and then being committed for a psychiatric evaluation. She was only in there a few days but I remember getting stuff from the vending machine when we visited and the crafts she made there...isn't it funny the things that you remember?

Anyway, there was a lot of drama for the next couple years. A LOT. My Dad traveled for work, so every time he was gone it was like she was up to something. In fact, one time she ran off to Florida with another man.

My Dad went to get her. And then we took a vacation together.

I guess that was his idea of a solution to a crumbling marriage and a crazy wife.

I'm not sure. What I do know is eventually she left. She moved in with another man, who in my opinion was way beneath her. He was trash in my eyes, and so was his family. I never accepted this man and I lost all respect for my Mother...well, the little that I still had at that point.

I never went and visited and it was rare that I would talk to her when she called. She had left us. Three girls. What kind of Mother does that? Even if she didn't love my Dad anymore, why did she leave us?

It hurt my sisters a lot more than it hurt me. It just pissed me off. Sure we still had our Dad, my Granny and my Aunt (my Dad's sister) but we had all but been abandoned by Mother and her family.

Then the drunk calls started. A woman who was a size 0 her whole life, and not able to drink one beer without being sick was now drinking daily. She is an alcoholic. She would call drunk and start blubbering on the phone.

I couldn't take it. I told her don't call if she couldn't call sober and started just hanging up on her. I was the oldest so I tried to save my sisters from the drama and took on the role of "mother" in the house.

As time went on, my Granny moved in with us and helped to care for the house. Even though my sisters went to visit, I refused to go and thankfully my Dad never pressed the issue.

Eventually my Dad got remarried and while my first sister and I stayed with my Granny at our childhood home, my little sister went to live with him and the evil stepmother. She continued to visit my Mother on weekends.

When I was 18 I decided that it was time to try to salvage our relationship so I contacted my Mother. My boyfriend and I had dinner with her once or twice and things seemed to be going okay.

Until my Mother's neighbor called one weekend. I won't go into the all the gory details but when I showed up, my little sister was crying hysterically and holding a washcloth over some part of my Mother's busted face. She was consoling my Mother who had gotten into a physical fight with her boyfriend.

This just set me off. My LITTLE sister was taking care of this grown ass woman, who should know better than to act like that when she was there. I didn't care if they beat the hell out of each other, but they sure wasn't going to do it while she was there.

After some screaming and ugly words flying around I went and called my Dad to come pick up my sister since my Mother refused to let me take her.

That was the last time I saw her, except for a brief visit she made to my first sister's house over 12 years ago. I wasn't interested in talking to her then, and I'm still not interested in talking to her.

She lives in NC now, with her trash husband and from what I understand she is still an alcoholic. My middle sister still talks to her occasionally and my little sister did for a time but no longer does. (I think)

I'm told she still asks about me. My reply - tell her don't bother. That may be harsh, but that's the way I feel. She wasn't there when we needed her. She didn't just leave a marriage, she left her children.

To me there's no excuse for that.

I'm not asking for advice. This is not something I want to fix. Actually, I debated writing this post because it is so personal, but it's a part of me and a part of who I've become. Even the bad experiences shape who we are, so I won't hide from it.

No, it's not a good time for TV thankyouverymuch... least not at 4:30 in the morning. That is when I was "enjoying" the infomercial about Turtle Wax's new Ice line. There are four products in the line, that you can get for a low, low TV price of $29.99. Plus if you call now you get 4 shammies and 3 applicator sponges...

Do you know WHY I know this?

Because S forgot to set the timer on the TV and this is what I woke up to. Eventually I had no choice but to get up and get the remote to cut off the TV because it was on his nightstand.

Does this make me happy?

No. It really doesn't. Especially since he also gave me a dirty look because I was running behind this morning.

Ya' think?! I wasn't exactly happy to hear the alarm clock going off this morning when I had just been woke up by this enlightening annoying crap on TV.

The funny thing is that normally I have the remote and he always, ALWAYS asks me if I set the timer. ALWAYS. Even though I've done it for 864,857,859 days in a row he still asks me.

Too bad he failed to check himself.

We might have to rethink this whole remote/TV issue before someonething gets hurt...

Tat-what? Tat-who? Tattoo!

Finally I'm unveiling S's new tattoo for all you non-Facebook people. Although I can't imagine why you wouldn't be on Facebook.

It's where all the cool kids are.

Including S. Yep I even got him on there posting his own pics and everything.

Well you ain't seen nuttin' yet.

You remember the last one he got right?

A gargoyle in the middle of his with a cross background and framed out. It turned out awesome and looks as good today as it did when he had it done 6 months ago.

Our tattoo guy is truly talented.

Problem with that is that it made the other two tats on his back look like crap. Next to the new one they look faded and worn out...definitely not a good look when showing off your new ink.

Our tattoo guy is also a smart business man apparently.

Not only did he put the other tattoos to shame, but he integrated the "flame" of the old dragon into the new work. Thereby ensuring that S would be back to make it right.

We went last week and T (the tattoo guy) looked at the existing dragon that S had, then went to work drawing up something to cover it up and work with the gargoyle. Proportion wise, S had no choice but to go bigger after getting such a large piece in the middle of his back.

So far it's only the outline but you can already see how amazing it's going to be.

The background is going to be the same "sky" as what the gargoyle has and if S ever decides to have the other side done then that will be a continued thing to bring the whole back piece together.

Impressed no?

Well I got some "art" done last week as well.

Not exactly what you had in mind huh? But impressive nonetheless.

Pedicurists...changing the face of the world one toe at a time.

Alright! Enough of this who-ha...go enter my GIVEAWAY already!

Dinner is served! With a Giveaway...

EDIT: Seriously, I couldn't make this stuff up if I wanted to...

Random Integer Generator
Here are your random numbers:

Timestamp: 2009-05-04 16:09:17 UTC

According to my handy dandy spreadsheet (in order to make sure everyone got their extra entries) the winners would be my partners in crime this week - Denise and Brandy! OMG!

Last week I was complaining about my lack of a meal plan and how quickly we went to "Plan B" everyday - eating out.

Not exactly what I had in mind for "Plan B".

I asked for inspiration and found it. Not only did you guys share with me, but I received a package in the meal guaranteed to get the juices flowing.

Country Bob's sent me two bottles of their signature All Purpose sauce to review. Immediately I read through the recipe book, then hopped online to check out even more recipes.

Let me tell you, when they say "all purpose" they really mean it! You can use this sauce on beef, pork, chicken, soups, stews and even snacks.

Since I had over 12 pounds of ground beef in my fridge (Props to Kroger!) I decided to try their Meatball recipe. Now, I DO have a standby recipe for meatballs that involves chopping fresh garlic and onions, that's good. Very good in fact, but it's also a little time consuming because of the preparation.

Let me introduce you to Country Bob's (easy, no chopping) Meatball recipe:

Here's what you need:

3 lbs. ground beef
2 eggs
1/2 cup Country Bob's All Purpose sauce
1 envelope onion soup mix
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt & Pepper
Spaghetti sauce

Mix all ingredients together. Form into golf ball sized balls. Brown in pan. Add Spaghetti sauce and simmer under done.

I served mine over whole wheat spaghetti noodles with a healthy green salad. It was delicious! And way cheaper than going out to eat.

From start to finish it only took me 30 minutes to put dinner on the table. I can honestly say I was very impressed with the overall flavor of the meatballs. Combined with the ease of the recipe, I'm putting this one at the top of my list.

Onto the giveaway portion of this post...

Country Bob's has offered to give two bottles of their All Purpose sauce to TWO of my readers. That's right, not one but TWO readers will receive their very own Country Bob package.

For your first entry all you have to do is leave a comment sharing your favorite summer food/recipe with me. (This is required!)

For a second entry, follow me and leave me a comment to let me know you are stalking following me.

For THREE extra entries, blog about this contest linking back to my post, and then leave me a comment to let me know you did.

Now for the fine print:

This giveaway ends on Monday May 4th @ 12 PM EST. I must have a way to contact you (blog, or email) or your entry will be deleted. The winners have 48 hours from the end of the giveaway to contact me with their mailing address.

Blog Fart Friday...again.

Blog Farts – noun. Def: Crappy ideas that are too short to make a real blog post, but when combined, join forces to make one unified, albeit half assed, post.
Definition coined by

I'm really loving this theme since random is my thing.

*All radio stations should play up beat music in the mornings, especially on Friday mornings.

*One exception to the that rule would be anything by Journey.

*I'm sooo sick of seeing AND hearing Susan Boyle. Please put her under whatever rock she came from. Seriously.

*Even after posting about dinner we still bought take out. The ginormous serving of spaghetti was enough for two meals though.

*Too bad I left it at home, which means I'll be going out for lunch too. Blah.

*My new camera rocks.

*S's new tattoo is going to be awesome. He got the outline last night so there's still a lot of work left but once it's done...woah. Pictures will be on FB later, and here next week. The work IS deserving of a real post.

*The weather is supposed to N.I.C.E. this weekend. I cannot thank Mother Nature enough...

*I'm taking the plunge into gardening and 99% sure that it will be a square foot gardening plot. I'll keep you posted.

I think that about covers my farts this week.

Somebody light a candle already.

What's for dinner? Good question.

That's what Mama Kat's asking today cause she's starving.

I wish I had an answer for her, but for all my stockpiling and couponing, I didn't do a real menu plan this week. Mainly because I had something going on every night.

Those are the times you need a menu plan. Instead there were frozen meals on Monday, Wendy's on Tuesday and finally yesterday I cooked. Don't get too excited was sloppy joes and mac n cheese. From a can. And a box.

On my anniversary.

That's not a knock at S either. We went into town and bought things for a Booster function on Saturday, stuff for Beefy's cake next week and then I bought a $900 camera package cause I'm a spoiled brat the reviews were good and it seemed like a good deal for a starter like me.

So we could have eaten out. Again. But I didn't want to. Remember I'm frugal and had just dropped a pile of money on a camera.

Besides that we ate out on Friday, Saturday and Tuesday which is three times as much as I would have liked to.

Now I just need to get back into the groove of menu planning and cooking. Maybe you could inspire me by answering the question -

What's for dinner?

(And I WILL be having another giveaway next week. I just got the "mystery product" in the mail yesterday so I'm going to try it out this weekend and then offer it up to ya'll. I can't wait!)

You are my Ying...

We're like two peas in a pod you & I.

You like seafood; it makes me gag.

You love ALL sports; I barely know what's a field goal.

You agonize over bird poop; I feed the little crappers.

You like AI's Adam; I think he's lame.

You would be happy with hamburger and potatoes everyday; I like variety.

You play poker; I play bedazzle.

You only read the sports; I read front to back. Except the sports.

You are early morning; I'm late night.

You wash clothes; I don't.

You like home style; I like extra pulp.

Hey! I didn't say we were in the same pod!

Still you're the ying to my yang and together we're perfect.

Happy Anniversary my love!

(This post is dedicated to my husband of 12 years...and counting!)

Calling all shutterbugs!

I need your help! Yesterday I mentioned that our anniversary is this week and S has asked me several times what gift I want.

My answers have varied from "Nothing." to "Just more years with you." but he continues looking for the perfect gift for me.

He's incredibly sweet like that.

Seriously though, I don't really want for anything. Sure I'd like to have my kitchen remodeled, or a deck along the back of the house and maybe some new summer clothes. Hmmmm....maybe I DO want for stuff.

Nah, really these are things that are in the plans anyway but us being us, we'll save up for those big purchases and I have no doubt that I'll get some new clothes (and sandals!) before long.

Anyway, another thing I've been talking about wanting is a nice, new fancy-schmancy camera. We looked at one near Christmas but it makes me cringe to think of spending $500+ on a camera.

You know I'm frugal.

S found a package deal in the Best Buy ad this week for a Sony A300K D-SLR with 18-70mm Lens, Sony 75-300mm telephoto lens and a Lowepro all-weather DSLR bag. While the price still seems high to me, it also seems like a good starter package because I get two lenses and a bag.

Here's the issue:

I have no freakin' clue what I'm looking at.

This is where you shutterbugs come in. I need help deciding!

I don't want to buy something in this price range that I won't like, or can't use. I plan on googling to see if I can find some reviews but I'd like to get your opinions too.

S says I'm worth it, but is this camera worth it too?

Earth Week

Congrats Carey @ Life in the Carpool Lane!

Well unless you have been living under a rock, you know that Earth Day is this week. I say that because all the big names are now involved in celebrating Earth Day - everyone from Target to Clorox has gone green.

Which I love since it's my favorite color! Oh, and it helps to save our planet...or something like that.

While I might not be the world's expert on such things, I do know that Earth Day is on Wednesday this year but I will not be celebrating it.
Not because I don't support the effort (although couldn't we all do more?!) but it's my 12th anniversary and therefore trumps saving the planet.

At least in my world it does.

Thankfully they, whoever the heck "they" is, has designated it as Earth Week also, so I'm still in the allotted timeframe to give out this goodie...

See Target isn't the only one giving out stuff this week!

I saw this bag, loved it, had to have it and decided to share it. What that really means is that I bought two because there's no way in hell I'm giving you mine.
Green is my favorite color remember?!

To get your own, leave me a comment with your favorite GREEN tip for one entry. (This is required!) For a second entry, follow me and leave me a seperate comment to let me know you do!

This is going to be a quick giveaway, ending on Tuesday night @ 9:00 PM EST; winner to be announced on Wednesday morning whenever I get the post up. Hey it's my giveaway so I can do that! Then the winner has 24 hours to email me their information or I'm just keeping the bag.
For realz. I ♥ mine and two would be that much better.

What are you waiting for?! You know you want it!

*Forgot to add - if you don't have a blog, that's cool, but you have to leave your email. How else will I be able to get in touch with you??

Oh and I can totally verify if you are really a follower. See that thingee on my sidebar. Well if you aren't there, then you ain't following and you ain't getting a second entry. K?

Blog Fart Friday

Blog Farts – noun. Def: Crappy ideas that are too short to make a real blog post, but when combined, join forces to make one unified, albeit half assed, post.

This is my first time participating in the whole "Blog Fart" thing but it's far from the first time that I've just listed out a whole bunch of nothing from my mind.

I'm shocked that you guys keep coming back to read this stuff. Really.

Right now all I can think of is how much it sucks to be the only one getting up this morning. SS is on spring break this week and S decided to take off the last three days too.

Not only does it suck because of the obvious reasons, but also because I cannot watch the CBS Early Morning show. I watch the show to stay caught up on current events, the latest news, I really like Harry...and because it gives me a time frame to work with.

I know when the local news does the weather it's 7:25 - that means I have 20 minutes or less to finish getting ready. Today I had no idea what time it was while in the bathroom.

~sigh~ As if I need ANOTHER reason to be late.

The good thing about coming to work is that I get to listen to Steve radio. Do you guys have this?
It's a new station around here and I'm totally in love with it. Apparently there isn't any DJ's, just recorded messages and commercials in between lots of great music.

80's music.

The good stuff.

Ahhh, I ♥ it.

S is getting another tattoo next week, or at least the outline.

As usual I have a lot stuff to do this weekend. SS has a track meet tomorrow, my house needs to be cleaned, my yard needs to be de-weeded plus I would love to have a garden.

One day I will grow a tomato. This is my vow.

I need to buy supplies for Beefy's cake. She turns 1 on May 5th but her party is on May 2nd so I need to head to Michael's to pick up supplies to make her princess cake.

It's been a while since I made a character cake.

I watched most of the 1st season of The Tudors last night. Finally. I'm not sure what to make of it yet. I don't love it yet, but I like it. And then of course I might be biased cause I think that Jonathan Rhys Meyers is hot. Really hot.

See? Totally hot.

And now there is a nip picture on my blog. Great search material...

I need to cancel my standing hair appointment with my regular hair dresser since I went to a new place this week. It was eh...okay. Closer to the house and the same price, but I still don't think I'm ready to make a switch.

So that's some of the thoughts rolling around in my that I've shared them with you I'm off to SITS to check out their auctions today.

Have a great weekend!

Day of Remembrance...

Two years ago today thirty-two people were killed, then the murderer took his own life bringing the total body count to 33 but countless lives were affected on that day.

Today we remember the tragedy that struck the close knit community at Virginia Tech.

Blacksburg is 40 miles from where I live, but the shock of what happened that day went far beyond map lines and straight to the hearts of everyone. News coverage called it a "massacre", covering the story for weeks, causing an outpouring of sympathy from all over the world including other colleges who wore the Virginia Tech colors to signify their support.

Two years ago we wore maroon & orange to mourn the loss of so many; today I wear it to remember.

From one lady to another...

Dear Mother Nature,

I'm really disappointed with your recent performance. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the two days of sunshine that you have provided to my area, and the fact that we did not get the severe thunderstorms last week that some other areas did. But TWO days of sun since March 20th - which is the OFFICIAL first day of SPRING, just in case you forgot - is not not nearly enough for me.

I understand having a bad day or two. We all have them sometimes, but this has went on long enough. I don't think I can handle anymore dreary days with cloudy skies, rainy weather and low temperatures. My pedicure would have all been a waste except that I went to another state to free my toes. This is unacceptable.

So from one lady to another, please snap out of it and get back to business.

Sincerely yours,

Brandy U

I'm not even joking a little.

Seriously. MN needs a wake up call.

Holiday hangover?

Have you experienced this condition? If you feel like you were hit by a tractor trailer, and you have a small tummy ache, you too may suffer from this illness.

Sometimes it's caused by an overabundance of food - since EVERY holiday is about the food right?! Or it may be caused by being on your feet for 10+ hours on said holiday. Not to mention the hours spent on your feet the night before.

Here's my weekend:

Friday - work, shop, eat, shop, shop, sleep
Saturday - shop, shop, eat, shop, shop, shop, kitchen, kitchen, kitchen, kitchen, movie, sleep
Sunday - kitchen, kitchen, kitchen, kitchen, baskets, park, park, park, park, shop, shop, clean, clean, clean, dinner, clean, tv

Do you notice a pattern?

If I wasn't shopping for Easter, I was in the kitchen making food for Easter. And even though I didn't make that much there was one item that trumped all others in time consumption:

Cake pops are not for the weak. Trust me. Bakerella I ain't.

I think my cupcakes came out much better...and didn't take nearly the time to make.

Here are some of my favorite shots from yesterday...

Ziggy is not for me...

Everyone around me has nicknames. Both sisters, my Father, my Stepmother...

Even the kids have shorter, cuter versions of their original names and then there is some completely different based on physical descriptions. My niece is often known as "Beefy" cause although she's a beauty, she was also a hefty baby.

SS's nickname is Stash. He had a mustache for a while in 8th & 9th grade so during his first band camp, they graced him with that nickname.

Since then he's had several others too, but for some reason Stash is stuck. Even though the "stash" gets razor-ed every week now.

The "stash" made a comeback in cake form for his 16th birthday.

And then there is S. He has several nicknames too, most notably Woodrow or Woody. So I had no choice but to pick up this sign while at the beach:

Me? I've never really had a nickname. A pal of mine calls me Bia, but it's never caught on with anyone else so I remain just Brandy to most.

Don't get me wrong. I like my name. I've always liked my name, putting it on everything from t-shirts and key chains to license plates.

It's time I took matters into my own hands.

I found a nickname generator where you could choose what "style" nickname you want. I choose rockstar and my official ROCKSTAR nickname is:

Ziggy Stardust

Maybe a nickname is not for me.

Want to find yours? Check it out HERE.

Back to the real world...

...where the temperatures are in the 30's & 40's this morning.

...where that freakin' alarm clock is ringing in my ear.

...where IHOP does not make my breakfast.

...where short sleeves and flip flops go back into the closet.

...where my car is on empty.

...where I have to make dinner instead of ordering it.

...where S is. Sheesh, I really missed him!

...where you guys are!

I can't wait to get caught up on what I've been missing in the blog world. It was a nice trip but I was ready to come home yesterday.

Now if the only the sun had come with me.

Guess we can't have it all.

Anybody home?

{{ring, ring, ring, ring, ring}}

Hello, you've reached Brandy's blog. I'm not available at the moment as I'm currently sunning myself in some warm beach sunshine and enjoying a feel good book.

Please leave a comment anyway and I will write you back as soon as I return to civilization.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

24 hours of by S

As promised here is S's side of Tuesday night's events and then the rest of his "24 hours of hell"...

Let me start off by saying if you are under 18 and if you have virgin ears please stop reading, I cant be responsible for how you feel after you read this.

Ok, lets start with last night or should I say this morning. Around 12:45 my cell phone starting ringing, I was like what the fuck its late. So I didn’t answer and waited for it to go to voicemail, then it rang again. Fuck. I am asleep.

I check my voice mail to see what it was. It was my office burglar alarm, which means that the wind was up and the over head door was being jared by the wind. So I ignored it, figuring that it wouldn’t happen again.

Boy was I fucking wrong. While I was on the phone checking my voice mail the company called again. The lady was all like the alarm went off and that ohd #5 was triggered the alarm. I was all like the fucking wind, I'm trying to sleep lady. Don’t you know its one am?!

Then she called back and said that there was a forced entry and the police was there. They needed a key holder there to meet them. I said okay give me 20 minutes. By this time I put my phone on silent because I wanted to go back to bed. Hello, it's one in the fucking morning and I am not drunk.

I left to meet the police, not knowing what to expect and put my phone back on ring. The lady (not what I want to call her) called AGAIN. While I was checking my voicemail again. FUCK! She called back, like blowing my damn phone up.

She said the police were leaving and that they found a door unlocked. I was like lady, I am up and would like the police there since I am on my way. I mean hell if it had been forced entry, I would need a police report to give to the corporate office.

When I got there no police. I drove around the building to see if anything was missing or where the forced entry was. Since that is what I was told. While I was doing that an officer showed up. He explained to me that there was NO forced entry. It was just one of the overhead doors were left unlocked. Him and another officer checked it and found nothing missing or messed up.

I said maybe they left it unlocked for a truck driver coming early in the morning or a late delivery. I was covering for the mother fuckers who didn’t want to answer their phones.

See I am number 3 on the call list, and the fucker I was covering for is number 1. So when I was on the way back home I text a co worker and my boss to let them know what happened and that I would be late to work since I was still up handling this bull shit. FUCKING WIND.

I was up late as hell watching tv and listening to B to tell the lady on tv to shut the hell up. I did get a couple of hours sleep. Once I got up and while the coffee was brewing, I called into the office to make sure everything was okay. The people at work thought it was a April Fools joke. I said you give me more credit than I deserve. To get up at 2 am and send you a text message and then stay up the rest of the fucking morning.

I didn't up because I was tired as hell.

Answer your phones, get the door fixed. I'm putting the phone on silent, and if there is a real emergency the house phone will ring.

I really like my job. I do have perks but I need my sleep, and please let B get her sleep because I have to live with her.

Then round two-the track meet from hell.

SS runs track, and we go to support him on anything he does. But WTF?! I go to the other high school this week, and they have a track along the river with a lot of bugs, no lights and no bleachers.

And they charged me $3 to park my truck, and then STAND to watch. Since they had no bleachers and no where for my fat ass to sit. I mean I have been going to track meets for 4 years and this is the only place I have been that I didn’t have a seat on the bleachers, no lights and charged me to get in.

With NO Bleachers.

I told the kid your actually charging me to park my truck, go to the track meet with no bleachers to sit on. Our school doesn't charge for track meets until district and then we have bleachers and lights.

Sorry, if I am a little selfish. I don’t mind paying to get in, if I could sit on some bleachers. I can sit on wet grass anywhere for free. Please if you are going to charge me, give me some Bleachers to sit on.

Guess you can tell I am a little whiney about no bleachers.

And tired.

~End Rant~

I made a boo-boo.

Yesterday I promised you guys an S post, complete with hundreds of F-bombs. That I now cannot deliver.

See S really did take the time to TYPE his own post this time and email it to me. At my home email from COMCAST - this is an important part I swear. Most, if not all of you know that I use GMAIL everyday so not thinking about it, I just assumed that the email would be on my COMCAST server and that I would be able to access it from work this morning.

I'm sure you've heard that saying about what assuming makes me?

An ass.

An ass without a post.

So I'm going to tell you the story in my words, and later tonight post S's version so that he can get proper credit for taking the time to write it. Besides I never post over the weekend so it will give you something to read.

On Tuesday night we went to bed and like most nights I sat up watching TV longer than S, so I didn't fall asleep until after 11:30. At 1 in the morning S's cell phone rings waking both of us up.

He checks the phone and says, "Oh it's the alarm company." and then puts the phone back on his nightstand and rolls over to go back to sleep.

Now you have to know that he gets these calls pretty frequently because one of the sensors at work goes off when it's windy, when it rains, when the sun is out, when it's night. I mean it just goes off for no reason so he doesn't worry too much about it.

His phone beeps indicating that they have left a message, but again neither of us care and are desperately trying to go back to sleep.

Then it rings again.

And again.

Finally S listens to the message and WHILE listening to the message the freakin' alarm company calls AGAIN. The lady says that this alarm shows "forced entry" and they have contacted the police so a card holder needs to meet them.

Crap. S gets up, gets dressed and leaves for the office. At this point I can only tell you my side of the story.

I laid back down trying even more desperately to go to sleep. I thought sleepy thoughts and tried to clear my mind. I changed positions and moved my pillows around. I covered my head and tried to relax.

Have you ever tried to relax after being woke up suddenly?

I ended up going downstairs, checking SITS and posting my blog. I surfed the net, checked email and just tried to be tired.

No go.

S gets back and just as he expected it was nothing. We lay down again. It's too quiet so we turn on the TV, but the first movie is too loud so S changes the channel. Then the next movie is loud so I yell at the TV.

And then I just surrendered, sat up in the bed and finished watching Ransom, while S snored the minutes away. I remember the clock hitting 4:30 so sometime after that I fell asleep, and woke up when the alarm went off at about 7:00.

I got ready, went to work all while my husband caught up on his beauty sleep. He ended up getting up around 9 and going into work late.

Now does this sound fair to you? It was HIS phone, HIS company and yet I got the least amount of sleep. Ever since then, it's been like I'm running on empty.

SOMEBODY owes me. Big time.

Thankfully they turned the volume up...

I'm not going to recap American Idol, but I do have a couple things to say.

First you have to understand that I watched both shows on DVR last night so it was only then that I formed opinions about their performances.

After watching them both I have to say

THANK YOU AMERICA for finally getting rid of that non-singing, non-dancing, bird acting Megan!!

That girl sucked! Sorry but there is no sugarcoating it - she sucked. Actually I feel that may be generous because she was worse than sucky.

In fact if you have been trying to remember where you've heard that type of singing before here's your answer...

And the dancing. Oy! It was so bad it reminded me a lot of this famous footwork...

Watch more YouTube videos on AOL Video

Plus she didn't even act like it mattered with that "oh well" attitude and the bird flapping.

I know she was easy on the eyes and many of you were in denial about how truly sucky awful she was, so I appreciate you coming to terms with it. Again, THANK YOU America for finally turning up the volume and listening to her.

Now if you could come to terms with Scott leaving I would be truly grateful. Yes, I understand that he's blind, but he's no Stevie Wonder and it's just better that he go on home.

Other than Megan's sucky, sucky, SUCKY performance I just want to say this to Allison...PLEASE give my neighbor's rooster credit for the hair do.

What the hell is that?!

Some sort of punk rock/rooster/modern mullet? I dunno, but I did. not. like. it. at. all.

No doubt the girl can sing, but the hair was atrocious.

Can you tell I'm a little bitchy today?

Well you can chalk that up to a lack of sleep Wednesday night for both S and I. Yes, there's a story to tell here...and Mr. Comment Whore himself has wrote a post about it that will go up tomorrow.

Till then I'm relying on lots of caffeine... and comments so get to writing!

Saying goodbye...

I'm posting this with a heavy heart this morning. Unfortunately it's come to a point where I'm going to have to delete my blog and say goodbye. I was hoping that I could figure out a way to balance this with everything else that I do but it's just become too much.

Blogging has taken over so much of my time that I've neglected just about everything, including my work and household. With work getting busier and SS being involved in track, I know it's the right thing to do, but that doesn't make it any easier to say April Fools!

As if you could get rid of me so easy! Ha ha! And yes I realize this joke is probably being done all over the blogging world but gimmee a break, it's my first AFD as a blogger.

No seriously S LOVED guest blogging yesterday. I swear he has become such a comment whore, calling to ask how many responses he had and then even commenting back to a couple of you.

Oh and get this...he's even got his next blog topic all figured out. Assuming I let him "take over" again.

Moving on to some other comment lovers...

In case you missed it, my pal Denise is THE featured blogger over at SITS today so make sure you show her some comment love.

And Candice is having an Eden Fantasy's giveaway for $50 gift certificate so you can choose your own goodies. Enter her giveaway HERE. While you are there check out THIS post. I swear you will laugh yourself to tears and be at risk of peeing on yourself. Pinkie promise.

Okay so let's recap. I'm an awful, terrible person who lied joked that I would no longer be blogging. S is a comment whore. Denise is being featured. Candice is a funny ass chick that is giving away funds for dildos.

Got it?
