Holiday hangover?

Have you experienced this condition? If you feel like you were hit by a tractor trailer, and you have a small tummy ache, you too may suffer from this illness.

Sometimes it's caused by an overabundance of food - since EVERY holiday is about the food right?! Or it may be caused by being on your feet for 10+ hours on said holiday. Not to mention the hours spent on your feet the night before.

Here's my weekend:

Friday - work, shop, eat, shop, shop, sleep
Saturday - shop, shop, eat, shop, shop, shop, kitchen, kitchen, kitchen, kitchen, movie, sleep
Sunday - kitchen, kitchen, kitchen, kitchen, baskets, park, park, park, park, shop, shop, clean, clean, clean, dinner, clean, tv

Do you notice a pattern?

If I wasn't shopping for Easter, I was in the kitchen making food for Easter. And even though I didn't make that much there was one item that trumped all others in time consumption:

Cake pops are not for the weak. Trust me. Bakerella I ain't.

I think my cupcakes came out much better...and didn't take nearly the time to make.

Here are some of my favorite shots from yesterday...

Good times.

May I suggest that you make homemade chocolate Easter bunnies next year? I can try to tape that Martha Stewart segment for you!

I spent all yesterday afternoon from 12:30 until 5:30 in the kitchen and maybe I'm becoming a total scrooge (or "just" hormonal) but after it was all said and done I had to ask myself if it was worth it.

Looks like a wonderful weekend even if you are left with a hangover! My holiday hangover was caused by my in-laws and resulted in me falling asleep at 8:30pm (before my 2 and 4 year olds)!

Your goodies look so amazing! And your beautiful family looks like they all had a wonderful holiday.

Yes, I definitely suffer from holiday hangover.

Your cake pops look fantastic - every time I attempt them they come out looking kind of sorry and pathetic. Taste good, though. I am apparently missing a "cake ball" gene.

Yeah. Holidays definitely too exhausting. (Love the pictures!)

Hi Brandy - thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday and leaving a comment! I made cake pops with my stepdaughters and their friends on Valentine's Day. Mine were not as cute as yours because while I MADE the cake pops, I let the girls DECORATE them. One friend had an affinity for horror movies, so she poked holes in all of hers and then filled them with red gel icing. How sweet.

What terrific pics! It even looks like MN cooperated and gave you nice weather.

I love the cake pop chicks! I had a cake pop recently and thought they were so adorable, but also really tasty. I have been thinking of making those for dd's bday to take to school.
