Walking with GERMS

Friday night I had a hot date. With my 6 year old nephew.


Walking with Dinosaurs came to town & being that he is all about some dinosaurs I knew that he would love the show.

What I didn't know is that I would too!


Saying it was awesome really doesn't do it justice. At. All. Neither does my pictures since I only took my little camera & we were in row "L" otherwise known as the nose-bleed seats.

But I did manage to take some AMAZING video footage of the show:


They had some really cool lighting and special effects that brought the whole show together.

If this shows comes to your town you must go see it.

Just take your hand sanitizer with you.

I can only guess one of those short, germ infested, snot-holders are the reason why I am sick. Again. For the third time since September.

Maybe it's time to re-evaluate children's programming

Today I have company.

Cause the school says he has pink eye.


He says doing this makes him feel like a girl.


He wonders where he stepped on the booger that is on the bottom of his sock.



Me? I'm just glad I took my pill today.

I was ran ragged by a 5 year old...

My nephew should be starting a new daycare/after school program next week, but during the transition my Lil Sis still needed a babysitter for him. She asked my Dad, and he agreed, but we all knew that really meant I would be the one doing it.



See, I work for my Pops so basically I got paid to babysit. Not a bad gig, especially if you like the kid you're watching & I just so happen to love my nephew.

For the past three days he was here with me until about 5ish when I get off from work and dang it, I'm exhausted! Truth is he wasn't even that much trouble, mostly playing on the computer, watching TV or playing with his toys.



I took him outside to play yesterday and within 5 minutes he says "I think this is perfect weather for the DS." and then proceeded to go inside to get his DS so I didn't even have to run after him.

The only thing I can figure is that I'm tired from all the talking. He's little Mr. McChatty, and when I'm the only one in the house with him I was blessed with ALL the conversation.



You may have seen some of my best moments noted on FB such as when he said:

"BTW, I have to go poop." in the middle of a conversation and then promptly went upstairs.

or "You're just being 'health-ful'." I asked him why I was being 'healthful' thinking maybe he noticed all the fruit I was eating. Nope. I was being 'healthful' because I wouldn't let him play on the computer. He meant to say hateful.

or yesterday when he was watching Teen Titans & they had a monster of some sort on there. He ran over to tell me about it and excitedly said it was "terrified". "So he was scared of the Teen Titans?" I asked. "No he was scary." "OH, so he was 'terrifyING'?" "Yeah he was terrified!"



All the talking was truly exhausting when I'm usually here by myself but I think I've narrowed it down and found the real reason why I'm so tired. Everyday I faced with goldfish crackers, gummy bears, french fries, peanuts, peanut butter & jelly sandwiches - all mocking me & testing my willpower.



You don't know how hard it was to throw away the popcorn chicken he didn't eat because he doesn't "like little chicken".

Or maybe you do know.

Kudos to all you mothers of small kids. You are my new heroes.

Out till fall...

I just realized that I never posted any pictures from Bratty Nephew #3's graduation. And since it's Monday & I'm up entirely too early, I thought this would be the perfect time to do so.

His big day (for the 2nd time) was a couple weeks ago and next year he will be in kindergarten.

Geez I'm old...

After all the kids file in, they do the Pledge of Alligance...

...then sing a few songs, including "You Are My Sunshine"

After trying to get his attention for 15 minutes, he finally gives me a little smirk. BN#3 looks less than thrilled huh?!


See his little diploma? Too cute. His sister has a carpet burn on her nose from earlier that week. I took her to the doctor for her shots and she fell in the waiting room. :o(

She wants to be like her big brother.



Apparently the cap is only for kids...

This little piggie eats "trees"...

...while all the rest eat cake.

Well, except for the Graduate. He's too busy celebrating.

Our high school graduation is this week....let the festivities begin!

Before and After...Prom

I've been talking a lot about my new camera but I haven't really posted any pictures yet.

Here are a few pictures that I've taken either at Beefy's 1st birthday party or just messing around. None of the pictures have been edited at all...













This past weekend was SS's Prom so of course I had to take pictures of him and the gf before they left to meet their friends.







Insanely I volunteered to work After Prom so S and I reported to duty at 11:30 Saturday night and stayed until after 4 in the morning working one of the blackjack tables.

This was my first year volunteering, but I will say that the committee did a GREAT job! The cafeteria looked nothing like the cafeteria and there were so many activities for them to choose from - fortune teller, money machine, carictures, blackjack, inflatibles, etc. The best part is that it was all included in the price of the ticket.

All the kids had a good time and although I hate to admit it, so did we.

The next morning when I got up after only 4 hours of sleep...now that was a different story

Winter can SUCK IT!

Finally it's SPRING!

Hells yeah!

Now I'm just waiting patiently for the warmer temperatures while the dogwoods bloom...
