BTW if you are looking for ways to make the most out of your pudding I highly recommend you check out Multipurpose Monday.
So today has been declared Tidy Tuesday.
Conspiracy much? Me thinks yes.
Do you remember a couple weeks ago I mentioned that I cleaned my room but I still had a mountain of clothes waiting to be put away? Well I'm convinced that S sent all you guys an email and asked for help. The only one that answered his tortured plea was Denise and this whole "theme week" was really a ploy to get me to put them away. Really!
Okay not really, but that's exactly what I
Most people wouldn't show you this but I'm all about keeping it real. And this is 100% real. All THIS has been laying on my SD's bed for the last 2-3 weeks and each day I pick a shirt, or undies or socks from the pile.
So I started working...
Folding...
Sorting...
I tossed a pair of pjs that had seen better days...
Thanked the laundry Gods that I found my favorite A7X shirt...
And wondered how I would ever get all the wrinkles out...
Finally I ended up here
Everything folded in a neat little pile based on where it needs to go.
This is my plan:
Unfortunately I didn't get started until after work, after the grocery store, after making dinner, after emptying the dishwasher, after filling the dishwasher up again and after washing the pots and pans so none of these piles are going to the appropriate place until tomorrow.
I decided to treat myself to a nice cup of hot tea and some trashy TV instead.
But rest assured Denise (& S), this will be waiting on me tomorrow.
Now pop on over to find out what Denise has been tidying up...hopefully there's no pudding involved this time, or maybe it pudding would be a better alternative. You be the judge.

Love how you are sitting in the room where the laundry folding/sorting was started yet not finished... tell the truth, you were really back and forth with the television and the clothes?
btw- $11 and some odd change at Super Dollar... Dj was pleased with his nuggets. Josh was pleased with corn chips and I was super pleased with plates and paper towels.
I think you took pics of my bedroom. I have the same stack wanting to become worthy enough to get put away.
You go girl! Rome wasn't built in a day and the laundry pile didn't grow overnight. The question I have is: Did you were pearls while doing it? The laundry, not something else.
I don't have trouble with the folding part, just the putting away part. My closet always looks like your SD's bed. Thankfully, the hubby has his own wardrobe, so he doesn't get to complain about my out of control closet!
After reading the two of you I have (almost) been inspired to clean my mess of a house.
laundry is probably the chore I hate the most. I'd rather clean the toilet than do laundry.
what did you think of the reunion show. I absolutely love Real but I think Chance is a total a-hole! Cornfed looked SO different too...not sure I liked the darker, longer hair.
Laundry ~ something I can't stand to see. I wouldn't call myself a neat freak, but I can't stand to see dirty cloths on the floor. I think it has something to do with my parents. Lol. If I lived near you, I'd be over in a flash to help with the laundry!
You've done a great job. Now come do my laundry!
Thank you for stopping by on my SITS day last week. I appreciated all the bloggy love! Sorry I'm so long in returning the favor!!!
wow...that is a hecka lot of laundry
Folding laundry and putting it away is my least favorite chore. Hate it. My bedroom is the same way... at any given time, there are at least 3 laundry baskets full of clean clothes, sitting in my bedroom, just waiting to be folded...
I do share the room with my husband... but of course, he walks right by the same baskets I do and doesn't stop to fold them, either...
ah the great laundry mountain my evil nemesis!
I HATE when I feel like I should be doing something that needs to get done at the end of the day. What did I do everything else for during the day if I can't sit down after bedtime and enjoy myself. Clearly since I'm here reading your blog I decided to go ahead and do just that! :)
Now I am exhausted,... laundry, house work whatever,.. not for lazy people like me! Let me have my coffee now
Congrats on being FB for the day!
I hate doing laundry and I have to do it everyday! I've seen that pile of laundry too! At MY house! LOL! ENjoy your sits day sitsta!
Oh! I have that exact same pile. But I really DO have plans to get it cleaned up. Really. Maybe next Tuesday...
Laundry piles...the bane of my existence!
Oh gosh, this can just as well be me and my mountain of clothes.
Laundry....UGH!
Hi there, just stopping by from SITS to say hello!
I have one of those mountains in my room! I tell myself everyday that I will fold the clothes and put them away but then I look at it and can think of a million other things that need to be done first...
Oh yes, I'm very familiar with the mountain! I nanny for a family of 6 and I do all their laundry, and then get to come home and do ours....it's never ending.
I always have laundry baskets full of laundry that's not put away!
I came over from SITS to wish you a Happy FB Day. Congrats!
I love themes. Slash. I fear themes!
What if I committed and this was my task? Your mess pales in comparison, and you actually CONQUERED it.
What if the job was that mortifying "Take Your Picture RIGHT NOW and Post..."Horrifying.
What about the crap in my purse? You know the one...
Eek!
You are brave.
I'm impressed with those organized piles! Happy SITS day :-)
Putting away the clothes is the worst part of doing laundry. I feel your pain. So, did it all get put way the next day?
Yay, I am not alone! Laundry is so vicious! Especially now that my sweet twin boys are TWO! Seriously, how do they bring in all of the dirt from outside???
Funny post!
I love the tea and trash tv break! Gotta do things in steps right?
Dude, laundry is the bane of my existance. It is what makes this housewife thing my Groundhog Day. Kudos for even attempting, I'm just nodding at my pile as I type this :)
happy sits!
Laundry is never ending. I have threatened to make everyone run around naked one day, just so I can do ALL the laundry and not end up with a big pile of clothes at bedtime whenever one changes.
I watched "Pioneer House" on PBS one summer and when the families returned home to present time each wife raved on and on about how the washing machine was really the instrument of change in women's lives - not the pill, not the right to vote, not equal rights. Just the humble WASHING MACHINE.
So, whenever I'm buried under mountains of laundry I think of those chicks from the experiment, and the millions of women from the "olden days" who had to beat their crap on a rock and wash for hours on end, and how this particular chore/responsibility kept women trapped in the house hunched over a bucket.
Anyway - just something to chew on. Good luck with your mountain!
My laundry breeds when I'm not looking.
Your SD's bed is what my bedroom floor looks like! Happy SITS day!
It's eerie how similar my mountain is....
I have a similar pile in my guest room...good thing there are no plans for any 'guests' any time soon! ;)
Happy SITS Day! :)
Oh I hate laundry with a passion and can't wait to teach my son how to do his own (yeah right, hardy har har I know).
Funny post! Happy SITS DAY!
My kids don't even look in their drawers for their clothes. They go straight to The Pile.
I was impressed last time and I'm still impressed. I don't think I EVER got neatly stacked piles of clothes like all those shirts. You should see my bedroom right now. D-i-s-a-s-t-e-r!
Very nicely folded clothes! And good choice for trashy TV - Vh-1 is the best for trashy reality shows! :)
Laundry is a neverending cycle/black hole.....as we all know too well.
I, however have a penchant for throwing things away (and of course, regretting it later).
Happy SITS!!
I'm right there with you! I wash and dry religiously, it's an act of Congress to get me to put it away!
Happy SITS Day! Ugh laundry...that reminds me I have to do some...
Laundry is just one of those things that I really hate to do. I can certainly relate to the laundry piles.
Happy SITS day!
Happy SITS day! Cute Post!!
Oh! You should see my room! wow... it's much worse this yours.
Stopping by from SiTS.
I'm embarrassed to say that all chores go on hold for VH1's trashy TV. I can't believe I watched I Love Money 2 religiously. So humiliating, and yet...
As my momma taught me, you have to fold/hang the clothes as you take them out of the dryer. I fought this for years, but it does actually work better.
happy SITS day. love your name. lol.
Also I love the keepin it real. I hate those blogs that are glossy and shiny and airbrushed.
I like doing the laundry WHILE Im watching tv... did I say like?
Looks like MY house on a weekly basis!
Happy SITS Day!
Visiting from SITS! I can certainly relate to the "mound of clothing"--that's definitely one of my least favorite things to do!
OK--this is the story of my life and it is out of CONTROL!
Happy Sits Day!
Hey, I'm impressed that the clothes made it to the bed. I tend to get really ambitious, stick a load of laundry in the washer and then forget about it for three days. Stopped by from SITS and I believe I shall return!
Laundry is my least favorite chore!
Tea & trashy TV always go good together! :) Happy SITS day! I do have a question for you...how do you become a Welcomista for SITS? I have notice some of the ladies have this button on their page but I can't find any info on it.
I pull out clothes immediately from the dryer and lay them nicely in piles precisely because I don't want to iron!
I'll take that mountain of laundry you have and raise you a mole hill...er...nevermind. You do laundry just like me, but in reverse. My mountain is the dirty one and when I run out, I sort through the dirty and pick out what I want to wear and wash that. I don't even want to talk about what happens when I wash the loads I need to do!
I hate folding clothes! I used to do that ALL the time.
Great post! I love it! Awhile ago, we moved a desk out of our bedroom and put a small couch in. Since then the couch has been totally hidden by a mountain of unfolded, but CLEAN laundry. Then I decided to move the couch out and the desk back in and asked my husband if he would mind. He said no...Later that evening, when we were in bed, about fall asleep, he says, "What are we going to do with all of the clothes when the couch is gone?" I told him we would have to start folding them and putting them away!
That is what I did today. I had 3 baskets of clean, folded clothes piled in my closet. I NEVER do that. Drives me crazy... but I'm in the middle of a BIG painting project, so I just didn't take the time to put the clothes away. Good luck getting yours done today!
Can you come tidy tuesday up at my house ;-)
Jamie :)
I loath folding and putting away laundry. I usually do it in front of the TV...makes it a tiny bit more bearable.
And as a ps: I love that most people are in agreement that we all get behind on laundry and hate doing it. Thank God I'm not alone :)
I loathe folding laundry. I don't mind transferring clothes from the bin to the washer to the dryer, but fold it. Gah!
Congrats on your SITS day.
Good for you! I've got a GIANT pile of laundry waiting to get folded to!
My mountain frequently takes up residence on my couch, which then requires children to sit in MY chair....
Ha! That looks just like my pile!
I always have a giant stack of laundry in my room... it never ends, does it?
I'm convinced, some how I am also doing the neighbors laundry. It's like, where does it all come from??
Laundry is a bottomless pit. I loved this post. Thanks for keeping it real.
*looks at pile of clothes at the end of the bed and quickly ignores it*
I don't know why you have such a problem lol.
I am all for tea and trashy tv!
Glad to see I'm not the only one that lets the laundry pile up.
Happy SITS day to you!
This is a great site. I enjoyed the treats!
Wait... we're supposed to put the clean clothes away? I mean really, what's the point? They'll just end up right back in the laundry at some point, right? ;)
Congrats on being the featured blogger today!!
OMG I LOVE laundry! Cleaning, folding, ironing, putting away. It's almost.. like eating chocolate!
NOT!!! *L*
Happy SITS day.
I think folding clothes and putting them away has got to be the WORST chore ever. My kids just throw it all over the floor instead of hanging it! Yuck.
Happy SITS day!
I admire anyone who can see that mountain and climb it. Me? I usually get to the point where I am so sick of looking at the clothes I pop them into baskets for each person, and stick the basket in their room and let them deal with it. What a good wife and mother you are!
That was so funny! I have somehow managed to avoid the laundry mountain thanks to marrying a man who insists on doing all the laundry. No kidding!
looks like my laundry mountains! Happy SITS day!
Doing a lot or organization here too! The laundry is still mounting, but at least they're clean! ;-)
Oh I hate cleaning too...ha ha. I would much rather watch trashy tv that put things away!
HAPPY SITS DAY!
I'm right there with you - I'm perfectly content with rummaging through a pile for what I need, but that's not what people expect of me. I say, "didn't expect it? Then look away!"
Happy SITS Day! :) We could be kindred spirits with our piles of unfolded laundry. Well, except yours is folded now...Oh well. ;)
This is brillant, I work every Tuesday so it's going to be "House Work Wednesday" for me, but thanks for the motivation.
I have been here before but stopping in again to say HAPPY SITS day!!!
Happy SITS DAY!! I'm so glad to have found you...my husband tells me I'm not the average soccer mom...so nice to meet someone else in that group :)
I have to say that my sofa looks exactly like that...maybe I should start doing tidy tuesday. I'm sure DH would love you for it. ;)
Thanks for keeping it real!! I have a pile just like that and thought maybe it eas just me!
Happy SITS Day!
~Michele from "It's in the Bag!"
I hate laundry, they need to come up with disposable clothes. No matter how hard I try I always seem to have a mountain.
The beauty of a clean laundry pile...it's the one thing that will eventually fix itself over time. The longer it sits...the smaller it gets. Just keep grabbing what you need! :)
Oh, the vicious neverending cycle of laundry! At least you're off to a start....all folded, sorted and labeled. Happy SITS Day!
I think laundry is really one of those mysteries in life. How so much clothing can come from just so many bodies...and when you think you washed it all, you just have to turn around and look at the new foothill sprouting. Not fair!!
Ha! The only reason that my laundry ever gets put away after being folded is the fear of my three year old undoing all my hard work in a moment of fun. lol
That's a familiar mountain.... ;o)
Wanna come over to my house and tackle some piles? ;) Happy SITS day!
LOL! Way to be real!
Oh it never hurts to relax a little bit - even in the middle of a chore or two.
Happy SITS day!
I just sorted stacks of clean clothes so everyone can put their own stuff away...hehehehe ;o)
Congrats on your SITS feature!
Oh, that does stink to have so much laundry pile up on you like that! I try to do mine right away, but that usually doesn't work out and they sit there for a while too. Have a great day!
I have 5 kids. My regular laundry looks like that every single week!
Hey, how did you come to my house and take pictures of my laundry (and me watching TV amidst piles of laundry) to post on YOUR blog?!
Fly Lady calls it "Mt Washmore" and my husband calls it the Leaning Tower of Laundry.
You are hilarious! (Found you via SITS.)
Hey! Happy SITS Day!
My family also lives out of laundry baskets - two or three days unfolded followed by another two or three days folded, and then when I finally get around to putting what's left away, it's time to start over. Yay.
You're a brave woman. Oh, the pictures I could show you of my laundry...
Happy SITS Day!
I have a friend with four kids who has completely surrendered to 'sock hell': a giant tub with nothing but socks in it. Her kids all have to dig to find socks that match. Once, when she was recovering from surgery, I folded sock hell for her. I think it lasted 2 weeks.
LOL- I love Vh1 Trash TV! It's so addicting! Good luck with the sorting!
That's how my room looks right now. And I am blogging. Oh well. :)Congrats on your SITS day!
yup. that's how my bed looks. then when we need to go to bed, we toss it all in a laundry basket on the floor. don't even get me started on socks!!
happy sits day!
Stopping by from SITS!
At least you accomplished the folding of the clothes. Baby steps! Enjoy your SITS day!
sigh...looks like my house right now. HAPPY SITS DAY
Now you can make a plan for the rest of us...
Happy SITS day
Let's not talk about piles of clothes. I have a few of them calling my name out as we speak. Congrats on your SITS day. Your blog looks fabulous!
No good comes from doing laundry anyway! LOL

Laundry is my nemesis. :)
Do not like laundry so much...it just never ends!!!
Happy SITS day!
Yep, I need to tackle Mt. Washmore again too. Thanks for the reminder - sigh.
*groan*
don't remind me of my laundry!!
Coming over from SITS!
Thank you, I feel so less alone. I'm so glad I'm not the only one. I don't mind washing, I don't mind drying, but folding and putting away-agh!
You go, girl! One step at a time. I wish I could get on that bandwagon. I have MUCH work to do. : )
I hear ya! I hate that no one else takes care of it but us moms sometimes. If it doesn't get done tomorrow or the next day it's still waiting there the next day and the next day!
You got a lot done-and at the end of a long day!! Great job!
Sounds like my laundry!
Happy SITS day! I hate laundry! It is the never ending chore to toture us mommies....
Laundry is the never ending chore. I can handle the washing and drying but I loathe folding and putting it away. I am so glad my daughters love to help with that part until they are old enough to know better.
Happy FB Day!!
I am glad I am not the only one. By the time you sort, wash, dry and sometimes fold I am over doing laundry :). It is a rare occassion that the clean clothes make it into the drawers. Thanks for sharing!
with 8 people, laundry is a never ending task in my house...I have just convinced my self that putting the laundry away is over-rated!
So relating here! I hate putting laundry away! Like to get it washed and dried, but hate folding and putting it away. so i really hat doing it i guess! ;)
I have the same problem...why so much laundry?
If it makes you feel any better, that could be my hallway right now. And my washing machine. On the washer is cleaned but not put away and on the floor is laundry to do. Tomorrow. I think. :)
