My first senior moment

Let me apologize in advance for my absence today but I'll be doing the "parent thang" this morning & taking the teen for his senior pictures.

We are NOT taking this outfit.

I'd say this is the first of many tasks ahead of us this school year. Senior pictures, college choices, scholarship applications, auditions, etc., etc., etc.

It's exciting and sad all at the same time. Exciting to know this time next year he will be headed to college and sad for us because he'll be headed to college.

I just pray that my meds keep on working & that I have the patience to deal with all of it.

~sigh~

This parenting gig ain't for lightweights.

Whoever said it got easier as your kids got older didn't have older kids! There's a whole new set of worries and issues. How much to let go, how soon? Parenting teens and early 20's is not for the faint of heart.

I hope you guys have an awesome day though. Lot's of memories being made together.

Just repeat this mantra.

"I can do it. I can do it."

Love the title of the post - LOL! Can he just keep the fairy wand for the pic? It sure would make for a memorable yearbook photo.

You will have to keep us up-to-date on the senior thing. Mine will be a junior this year and it always helps to hear from the voice of experience what to expect.

I am kinda liking the outfit...I think that my girls had that scepter. Is it the one that "pings" or "brrrings" everytime you touch something with it??

I , for one, love the outfit he is wearing lol! I believe the baby I watch has the same fairy wand. ::side note:: the sound it made was so irritating that I removed the batteries lol

My daughter wore something like that last week.

Great pic! Happy Saturday to you! I am slowly making my way around to all the blogs that visited me when I was featured on SITS to say "Thank you". It is indeed a fabulous SITStahood.
Be blessed!
