Slacker Extraordinaire

The title says it all. This weekend I was the biggest slacker hands down. Ever.

Saturday we celebrated S's Grandma's 80th birthday with his family and had a lovely time. She was mostly surprised that everyone was there was for her, including family from SC.

Later that night we went to his cousin's house to hang out with the rest of his cousins and catch up. It had been FIVE years since we saw the family from SC so there was a lot of catching up to do. We ended up getting home pretty late and the next morning we both felt like crap.

I know what you're thinking, but it wasn't from drinking. It was from smoke. They had lit a bonfire, plus there were some smokers in attendance so the next morning we couldn't breathe and had classic hangover symptoms.

And it was raining. Again.

We landed on the couch (and recliner) and proceeded to watch DVR for most of the day. We did manage to move long enough to make dinner and dessert but I never got around to inviting anyone over so it was just us and the girlfriend. (She comes over every Sunday.)

I was very slow moving yesterday morning, but I did manage to make breakfast/lunch. Afterwards S said something about going riding and just getting out of the house.

It started raining about 5 minutes later. Seriously.

We took that as a sign and went back to the couch.

Hi. My name is Brandy and I'm a slacker extraordinaire.

Hope your lungs are feeling better today!
A weekend of being a slacker sounds great to me. Haven't had one of those in a while!

I think I have been a slacker extraordinaire my entire life. It's a gift.

I would then be considered a slacker too, because I did even less than that on Sunday alone. Sad, but true

We always have bon fires, I never thought that it would make you feel horrible in the morning

I love slacker days, they are just too few and far between for me. There's nothing better than laying around all day eating and watching tv. Uh, should I just have admitted that???

I can't handle cigarette smoke, much less from a bon fire, etc.

As for being a slacker, I don't know why slackers get a bad rap. Seriously.... we NEED rest and relaxation time. We schedule everything into our lives, except for time to sit on the couch and watch TV - so, go ahead and slack!

Hi *waves* I found you on SITS and your blog caught my eye. I like the title, and your declaration of being atypical! That's right up my alley. I read a couple of your other posts, and the fact that you seem to dig black nail polish and eye makeup on a guy makes me smile even more. Going follow you, if you don't mind.
