Where's the shotgun when you need it?

It's no secret that I'm not a big fan of early mornings. If mornings were on American Idol I definitely would not be voting for them because early mornings suck.

Even worse than Keith singing Like a Virgin.

However, worse than a normal early morning, is one where you were woken up at 4:00 AM.

To dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun...

It sounded almost like a dripping faucet, but I knew that wasn't the case. So I tried to ignore it. dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun...

No such luck. dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun...

I sat up and listened closely to see if I could figure out what it was. dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun...

Maybe it started raining during the night and it's dripping from a tree or gutter. dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun...

Nope, not it. Maybe there really is a leaky sink and it's flooding my 3 year supply of feminine products at this very moment.

Nope. dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun...

I tried again just to go back to sleep. dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun...

Then I had to go to the bathroom. With the light on. {Thanks TMM!}

Get back in the bed. dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun...

I feel like I'm losing my mind and I may need to overdose on my new meds at this point. dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun...

Then I look up.

dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun...

Aha! I found the culprit!

But I still had to get up to turn it off. Ugh.

Finally, I snuggle back into my blankets and get my pillow just right.

And at that very moment I realize how much "white noise" the fan makes because S sounds like he's gagging on something with all the air he is sucking in.

Where's the shotgun when you need it?

I have something for you on my blog too!

A pillow is much quieter and less messy than a shotgun. Just sayin'.

Hey, look at me! I'm commenting before 10:00 am my time!

Ok, but do I LOVE that you have a 3 year supply of feminine protection? I do.

That trumps the noisy fan ANYDAY.

Oh but the man sucking in the air beside me would do me in...and it did last night. Pass that gun when you are done :)

Funny stuff!

My husband sleeps with a CPAP, which I also call "the marriage saver." But in the old days, there were times he sounded like a pterodactyl screaming. I don't miss that AT ALL!

that just made my day...

LOL! I know exactly what you mean! My husband sweats like nobody's business, so we always have to sleep with a fan on... except in the winter. And what a coincidence that that is the time of year that I don't sleep. No fan = I don't sleep. The log sawing keeps me up 24/7!

Thanks for stopping by yesterday!

now that is funny. I would love to ignore all mornings -however they arrest you if your kids miss school too much and since the bus comes at 7 am....yeah - I am up (at least in body)

I need that shot gun when you are done. ;)

Mornings after nights like that are so rough...

I can SO relate! I'm getting in line for the gun.

I'm a very light sleeper. It sucks!

Shane snores, too. I really don't know how he doesn't have bruises all over his shins, the way I kick him all night long, trying to get him to stop snoring!!!

Michael always teases me about my spider man hearing. One night I had him investigate a sound. It turned out it was the "fizz" of my contact lenses being cleaned!

Yes, I needed mine tonight.. I was trying to sleep (downstairs) and everyone plated jump to the kitchen for ice cream so I went upstairs..where the neighboring orchard decide to use the bird bang decoy..whatever it is.. so I didn't get any sleep. I have til 8 am to suffer then I will die in bed..
