What's for dinner? Good question.

That's what Mama Kat's asking today cause she's starving.

I wish I had an answer for her, but for all my stockpiling and couponing, I didn't do a real menu plan this week. Mainly because I had something going on every night.

DUH!

Those are the times you need a menu plan. Instead there were frozen meals on Monday, Wendy's on Tuesday and finally yesterday I cooked. Don't get too excited though...it was sloppy joes and mac n cheese. From a can. And a box.

On my anniversary.

That's not a knock at S either. We went into town and bought things for a Booster function on Saturday, stuff for Beefy's cake next week and then I bought a $900 camera package cause I'm a spoiled brat the reviews were good and it seemed like a good deal for a starter like me.

So we could have eaten out. Again. But I didn't want to. Remember I'm frugal and had just dropped a pile of money on a camera.

Besides that we ate out on Friday, Saturday and Tuesday which is three times as much as I would have liked to.

Now I just need to get back into the groove of menu planning and cooking. Maybe you could inspire me by answering the question -

What's for dinner?

(And I WILL be having another giveaway next week. I just got the "mystery product" in the mail yesterday so I'm going to try it out this weekend and then offer it up to ya'll. I can't wait!)

If I don't menu plan every week, the world comes to an end and no one wants that.

Tonight my dad and step-mom are coming to dinner and it is their week to bring which normally means El Pollo Loco (they come every week and I cook one week and they bring the next). So, you could go to El Pollo Loco for dinner - I am sure that was so very helpful.

Ha! I have organized moments and actually get around to plannning a menu..but then it rarely gets shopped for and then made as planned.

I'm kinda not so good at the whole follow-through thing.

I hardly ever plan meals... And we usually eat food from boxes. I do love to cook, though...

wait... isn't mama kat asking whats for dinner and your cheating and asking us... hmmmmmm

yeah, we ate out last night it was the first hamburger I had had in months!!! Way to celebrate the ultrasound... boring I know.

Over the last few months I haven't cooked much since I have been ill. We have had a lot of canned and frozen and boxes meals. However, I really want to throw a roast in with a can of coke to marinade... but we have nothing to go with it, no potatoes or anything..hmmmmm So *shrug* I need to go shopping, I am trying to plan a menu for a family bbq I am in charge of this week, i am going to make dutch oven potatoes which includes bacon pieces, and some oriental chicken salad and some FLuff...

yummmmmm i'm hungry!

Oh, crap.

I totally forgot to ask Shane about cameras and come back here or email you.

Bad, bad Shannon! :(

But I am glad you got a new camera... very cool!

Ok... now on to this post. I try to menu plan, but don't always do it. Didn't do it this week... which is why we've had pizza, Taco Bell and Chinese take-out so far this week.

Tonight we had chicken nuggets (on sale), mashed potatoes (potatoes on sale) and frozen corm, cooked of course (also on sale.) Yay for sales!

I hope you have fun with your new camera!

We had burgers. And I made 50 scones, not that I was counting.

Since I still felt like I had one foot in the grave, I made Hamburger Helper. (hangs head in shame). I made red beans & rice this week, but no sides or anything to go with it. We had to eat out one night but had tuna puffs, mac & cheese, and something else on Monday. I didn't do too badly for just getting back into menu planning, but I hope to do better next week when I'll hopefully be feeling better.

I'M SO JEALOUS!!! $900 must have bought you a REALLY good camera! You have to tell me what you got!

Let's see--Thursday night, the hubby surprised me and came home a day early! So we had steak on the grill, baked potatoes, and steamed green beans!

Last night I made Sour Cream Enchiladas and we ate them for lunch and will be eating them for dinner again! It made a butt-load of enchiladas and they were only 3 points for TWO enchiladas! Yummy.

Wow, I think I just made myself hungry again!

Oh, you got the camera!! Can't wait to hear your feedback on it.

I struggle with meal planning each week. I'm getting really good at couponing and scoring some great deals. If I could just incorporate the meal planning, then I would be golden!
