It's a Snow Day! Just ask the turkeys...

I'm at home this morning. I love that, especially when I'm lying in bed watching Regis & Kelly Maury while typing this. And the alternative would be to go outside in the cold...and I do mean COLD and try to schlep to work in the snow.

I have pictures but I'm too lazy to walk 3 feet to my camera to get them for you. I will post them later cause it's amazing how much snow we got.

And there are turkeys in my trees.

I heard a bowl of cereal calling my name so I got up and grabbed my camera on the way back.

This was yesterday before the snow really started to pour down.

These are from this morning. You can really see the difference on top of the hot tub...and my poor bush is bent over from the weight.

And here's the turkeys! (Click to enlarge)

I didn't even think turkeys could fly. Guess I learned something yesterday!

I don't think I ever considered that turkeys could fly either. Sounds like a southern exclamation: "I'll clean out that barn when turkeys fly!"

I am so sorry for the snow. It spit snow a bit yesterday. I am so done with the winter thing. I would have crawled back in bed too.

Ummm...did the turkeys climb into the trees? How did they get up there?

And we have snow too. I need to post about it. Because we never have snow. Or snow days or anything...

Oh, that looks wintery! I'm sorry about the Teriyaki Chicken over cooking! I wish I would have realized that it wouldn't be good overcooked, but until I did it myself I didn't know. Live and learn I guess.

We got the snow too!

I'll write a post about turkeys some time and you can read about how they snuck up on me in my garage. Trust me when I tell you not to get too close to those things : )

We had lots of wild turkeys in Tennessee (said with southern accent) but I nevah saw one fly. Usually just standin' in the road waitin' to get run ovah.

Over from SITS!

Stay warm. We just got the snow over the weekend. So glad to see the sun today. I am really REALLY ready for spring!

Thankfully, we didn't get snow - but I think I would have rather had that than the freakin' cold we're dealing with.

I also had no idea turkeys could actually get into trees. Huh. And your property is awesome!

Beautiful snaps, and I share the excitement of seeing the Big Birds, but seriously, I'm ready for winter to be over, aren't you?

You tweeted about the turkeys... and I meant to reply to that because I thought you had done lost your mind.

But, now seeing the photographic proof...

I should never have doubted you.

I am sorry.

Heh heh. Yes, wild turkeys can fly. And when a flock flies across the road in front of you, well, it is enough to scare the crap out of everyone in the car.

Great snow pictures. Just clicked on your blog from Mariah's....cheers!

I had no idea turkeys could fly - that's crazy! (I don't know why, but for some reason that's very hard for my poor little brain to comprehend...)
