2. Prisoners that have previously escaped from prison will try again so don't allow them to stay in a minimum security prison with access to bed sheets. True story.
3. Buy styrofoam plates so you can take time to enjoy the view and not worry about the dishes.
4. When in doubt always wear sunscreen.
5. Enjoy dessert. In moderation.
6. Never order the special without asking the price first.
7. Don't live beyond your means, buying stuff you don't need and can't afford.
8. Embrace your family. Even if they are crazy.
9. Be involved in your kids life and activities. Meet their friends. Get to know their interests. You'll be happy you did.
10. Don't wait until the morning of to write a themed post. You will have writers block and be forced to write random crap.
Bless you for getting this far.
Now you need to read some real writing from a much more talented blogger than I...hurry on over to Denise's Life Lesson before your mind is completely numb.
But not before you leave me a comment. Gee, this comment withdrawal stuff is tough!

What about your husband's family, do you have to embrace them. I wouldn't mind if they were crazy, but really they are just self-absorbed, which makes conversations a bit one-sided.
BTW, I always enjoy random posts - never know what you will find in one.
#4 HA HA HA HA HA
Just repeat - Random is good. Random is good.
Do I have to embrace them if they make the prison door a revolving one? Nah...I think that one can be written off.
I hear ya on the warmer weather. Sometime this year my mom is coming out of Alaska and wants me to move to wherever she moves to so we can be closer. I was talking to her the other day and she said "How does Tennessee sound?" I replied...Uh. Sounds not a whole lot different that Maryland. I want off the east coast. THINK WARM.
Lol...I think it's gonna be Arizona.
ahaha the last one is good. sounds just like me. ;)
I know what you mean about the weather. It's currently 30 degrees here and the cold is making me cranky. Last week it was warm and I was all, "Woohoo, Spring is coming!"
And then the 30 degree weather returned. The weatherman didn't even look upset. He was just all, "Well, goodbye warm weather. Hello cold!" I really would have liked him to curse or stomp his feet like I did when I heard the news.
Loved it. Great life lessons.
Oooo, that was fun going back and reading some of your posts I've never read! That pumpkin cake, ohmigawd, I want it! But the points fairy won't grant me the extra million I need to eat it. boo-hoo
I am still upset about deleting it. I can't believe I did that. Thanks for the support and being my first follower.
That was not random. Well organized list of lessons. I have many times contemplated a life lessons post. I don't think I've learned enough yet. My biggest one is to not leave all the 4 for $10 12 packs of coke zero in my trunk over night. When the temps are below freezing.
Its amazing to me how many people live way above their means THEN complain about being in debt.....DUH! Thats a good one!
What are you talking about? You're list is awesome. And real. REAL life lessons. Mine applies to about 0.1% of my readers! LOL
This is some great advice..thanks for the reminders!

Solid life lessons! I hear you on the last one...I've been there before!
Awesome post :) Thanks for stopping by and saying hi on my blog. And yes, I agree with #6. Bad memory of ordering a dinner that was too much food and way more than we'd expected to pay.
Great list. We are also still getting snow. Aaargh! So ready for spring. And we use paper plates as often as possible. I HATE doing dishes!

We were fortunate several times to stay at an aunt's lakeside home. No garbage disposal, so we used lots of paper plates and every time I'd say, "don't tell Mrs. S," who was the environmental teacher at the kids' school. Still makes me laugh.
All that said, I will say I'd nix the styrofoam plates just because I've become pretty careful about the environment and toxins. Sorry .. we have to part company there, though I like the rest of your list and it made me laugh. In fact, I'm on a mission really about going natural where possible. There's a book I just got, Super Natural Home, that's very practical and straightfoward about potential toxic hot zones and very practical advice on what people can to do limit exposure to various things. It's great.
And having said all that, yes, I believe there is still a place in life for minimizing the dishes and maximizing the fun! Go for it!
