Groundhog Day?

I'm starting to feel like an extra in 'Groundhog Day'. You know that movie starring Bill Murray where every day he gets up it's the same thing over and over. And over. And over.

You get the idea.

My 'Groundhog Day' consists of snow.

Snow. Snow. Snow. And more snow. As soon as one snow melts more snow appears.

Very 'Groundhog Day'-ish no?

They are calling for 50 degree temps this weekend. Bring on the heat wave & melt all this snow I say!

But I can't help to wonder...

When is the next snow storm?

What I did on my Winter vacation...

This is what I did on my Winter vacation, aka the two weekends I was forced indoors because of snow, ice, sleet and other crappy conditions:

I watched movies. Most notably Tyler Perry's I Can Do Bad All By Myself, which was good right up until the last 10 minutes. Then not so much.

I also watched the newest flick in the American Pie series. Sucked. Skip it.

We caught up on the DVR, watching episodes of Burn Notice, Human Target and Wendy Williams*. I also watched and re-watched several episodes of The Real Housewives of Orange County cause I'm a glutton for punishment.

In between that, they shoveled while I took pictures.

We napped. And it was glorious.

Then I channeled The Pioneer Woman and baked.

Cinnamon rolls in the morning.

Apple dumplings in the evening.

So to sum it up, I gained 10 pounds on my Winter vacation.

*I'm forced to DVR Wendy because the asshats at our CW removed her from their line up in lieu of Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?, which btw, I hate. Now I can only find her on BET. At midnight.

Everyone wants 8 inches right?

**Please excuse the ums, sos and anyways in the video. I was stuck on that "8 inch" comment and it totally threw me off.

It's a Snow Day! Just ask the turkeys...

I'm at home this morning. I love that, especially when I'm lying in bed watching Regis & Kelly Maury while typing this. And the alternative would be to go outside in the cold...and I do mean COLD and try to schlep to work in the snow.

I have pictures but I'm too lazy to walk 3 feet to my camera to get them for you. I will post them later cause it's amazing how much snow we got.

And there are turkeys in my trees.

I heard a bowl of cereal calling my name so I got up and grabbed my camera on the way back.

This was yesterday before the snow really started to pour down.

These are from this morning. You can really see the difference on top of the hot tub...and my poor bush is bent over from the weight.

And here's the turkeys! (Click to enlarge)

I didn't even think turkeys could fly. Guess I learned something yesterday!
