Baby Got Bling

Friday afternoon we took Lil J to get her ears pierced. First we went to the mall, but there wasn't a piercer on duty.

FOR THE SECOND TIME. WTH?!

So we went to Walmart. I know, I know. Everyone hates Walmart but there are two places to get your ears done here and the other one never has a freakin' piercer there.

Lil J did pretty good. She cried a little with the first ear and we got her calmed down before the second one. You'll see it was done with bribery, aka the bottle. And she had actually started to drift to sleep.

Do you want to guess what happens when the baby is almost asleep and someone shoots your ear with an earring?!

Let's just say it wasn't pretty.

Thankfully her new baubles were and she calmed down pretty quickly.

Here's the photographic evidence of Friday's torture process at Walmart:

Pre-Walmart we have a happy baby...

Then not so much...

The end result...

Baby got bling!

First, is Lil J not the spitting image of your sweetie, S as a baby (see Friday's Flashback).

Second, the cost of beauty and bling - a lesson we all have to learn eventually :)

Third, looks like mama was a little scared in the pic with her eyes all scruntched up.

Lil J is just adorable.

They aren't kidding when they say that all the good things in life hurt a little are they?! Better to do it now than when they're old enough to know what's coming :)

Great pics...they really show the range of emotions (and how fast they can change with little one)!

The good thing about doing it now is she'll never remember it!

Aww, she looks adorable. My mother waited until I was five to get my ears pierced. I think we finally had them done at a store (after numerous attempts at home and other places) and after the event I wondered why I made such a big deal out of it.

Awwwww!

I had mine done at 10, and wished I had had it done when I was too young to remember.

Maybe a little late info for you, but my sister got her daughter's ears pierced at her ped. office...Earrings are cute in a baby, so who cares if it happened at WM?
