Pesto is best-o (and other random thoughts)

*I recently discovered the goodness that is pesto. For years, I've read about it or heard it mentioned on the cooking shows I watch. I've even seen it made - roasted pine nuts, basil, garlic & olive oil whipped into an green paste - but it didn't look that appetizing. OMGosh why didn't someone make me try it before now?!

*How much is too much when it comes to updating your FB status? I always thought once a day was the norm, but then heard a convo this morning where some people found that to be irritating. I don't particularly care for when people have their twitter updates connected to their FB status (Well except for LiLu, cause she's just funny as hell.) but a couple times a day doesn't bother me at all. Opinions?

*HBO is on my bad list right now. Next week should have been the True Blood finale but those bastards at HBO are making us wait two weeks. For the last show. The. Last. Show. WTH?

*Did you know that I wrote a guest post for Denise's "Money Saving Monday" series yesterday? Cause I did. You should check it out & then be sure to visit every Monday for more money saving ideas.

*I've won four giveaways in the last month or so but I've neglected to thank those bloggers so...

Thank you Brandy! The bows are adorable! (Stop by her place -she has even more giveaways going on this week!)
Thank you Christina! I love the EcoStore products that I picked out. (Coconut soap, citrus spray cleaner & pure oxygen whitener in case you were wondering.)
Thank you Angie! I got my Paula Deen books yesterday & already read through Kitchen Wisdom and Recipe Journal. I ♥ her. And you.
Thank you Josie! I cannot wait to get the tutu bow holder for one of my girls!

...whew! I feel much better now.

Yes, love pesto - like alot!!!

Congrats on all your wins!!!

FB status thoughts: I update mine a 2 or 3 times a day. I am good with that. Some do much much more and others seem to update every other day. I hide all the collecting apps - Easter time about drove me nuts with people collecting eggs. I tweet much more than I fb. I have it set up that my tweets will update fb ONLY when I put a #fb after the tweet NOT every tweet.

I don't care how much people update their status. Why would that bother someone? Anyway, congrats on all the wins!

Its funny Blake and I were just talking about it this morning. I get self conscious ab updating my FB status sometimes. I always wonder if people are reading it, if they think it's funny or if they are thinking "where is the hide option!!"

Opps...I posted on FB a couple of times yesterday! But usually I'm once a day or less... I guess if people don't want to see that many updates they can hide their status, right?

Yum, pesto! I love to use it with a veggie pasta, lemon zest and a bit of lemon juice. It's a really fresh, light meal and can be eaten at room temperature.

And I loved your post at Denise's yesterday. I learned a whole new vocabulary!

WoW grats on all ur wins! :) pesto? its delish ive actually been making my own this yr with all the basil i have in my gardens! Make it freeze it in bagys flattened out and it defrosts real quickly and if u dont need the whole flattened out bag u can break it off easy from the bag frozen as well :D (i also like freeze it in ice cubs like all my other home made goodies (chicken stock, tomatoe garlic sauce and minced garlic and thats all i can think of right now lol) once frozen toss em into a freezer bag and they make it easier on u if ur in a rush just pp em in ur hot pan and ur all set to make a quick dinner!)
FB updates i dont mind so long as they rnt updating EVERY 5 mins :) which i have a couple of ppl who do that :)

Update when you have something to say. Once a week, once an hour - I don't care as long as it's relevant and/or makes me laugh. Especially if it makes me laugh.

Pesto. Nom nom nom.

I usually update about 2-3 times a day. Sometimes more if I'm feeling extra chatty.

People are annoyed by you updating on facebook? Really? I don't update that often...because, really, nothing happens around here. Which is quite fine by me.

Pesto is delish! And I have sent my husband over to your guest post from yesterday and your other blog...let's see what he learns!

You *just* figured out pesto? Girl, I live off of that stuff. I make it from scratch. Good stuff

Um... I've never tried pesto, either. It really doesn't look appetizing at all.

I like Facebook updates as long as they are funny or interesting so I don't care how often they come. What does irritate me are people who post weird things. I have one friend who posts a picture of the sunrise every morning. One who does random song lyrics (that I never get). One who seems to be a total downer who only posts really gloomy stuff.

I also found out that three of my High School friends are now gay. I was pretty surprised about all three, shocked about two of them actually. One of them I used to have a crush on, although now I can't really figure out why. Facebook is an interesting little place. I don't know how I lived without it until now!

PS: I meant to tell you about my new discovery - Facebook Lite. It's a new version that doesn't have all the ucky games stuff and all the other junk people post. (I shouldn't complain because I play all of the ucky games.) It's kind of like the old Facebook. You can find it at Lite.Facebook.com or something like that.
