"Trim the Fat" Tuesday (+ a ?)

I took a little break from TTFT last week since I was on vacation. I'm happy to say that I did consume lots of water (and sweet tea but that's another topic) & I got PLENTY of exercise. BUT...yes, there's a BUT...I didn't take my vitamins. Heck, I barely remembered to take my Yaz everyday.

Out of sight, out of mind. ~sigh~

Since I've been back, I'm still drinking water & taking my vitamins again. I'm not that happy about it, but I'm doing it.

My vitamins suck ass.

Initially I was taking a large, horse-sized multivitamin that nearly choked me every morning so I asked for recommendations. Someone suggested the chewable variety so I ran to CVS and picked up TWO bottles. (Buy one get one free- I couldn't pass that up!)

It's like chewing a large, horse-sized piece of "orange" flavored chalk. It is disgusting & I dread chewing them. I've even considered just swallowing them without chewing but I don't know how that would work once it's in my gut.

So here are my goals for the next week:

1. Drink 4 glasses of water a day.
2. Buy NEW vitamins.
3. Take vitamins everyday.
4. Do 20 minutes of exercise 3-4 days a week.

You'll notice I wasn't specific about the type of exercise. Instead of limiting myself to videos, I want to be able to count lots of walking or working outside in the yard. So basically my goal is just to get off my bootay.

So how did you do this week?

If you are participating in "TTFT" don't forget to link up at Angie's place!

Before you leave me, I need a little advice.

It's time to paint my shutters...

...but I can't decide what color. HELP!

Hugs! Sounds like a good plan/goal to me!!

LOL @ "bootay". I'm easily amused, so sue me!

Shutters. EVERYONE in this part of Georgia has red brick houses and everyone has a different color shutter. I'm really partial to black (it's classic), or a dark green. My two cents.

Black would look good with the white trim, or something really dark.

OK TTFT, I sucked this week and I was NOT on vacation. Girl what are we gonna do about your vitamins..... but yeah, stay away from chewables.. even the kid ones are nasty! I use the target brand and they are a little large, not as big as my calcium, but they're thinner so they go down easy!

I was going to say black or dark green too.
Chewables always suck. Have you tried prenatal vitamins? They make some that are not so freakin huge and they have tons of stuff in them.

SInce you are looking for new vitamins, the people I know that are really into health and take vitamins religiously all say you have to take liquid vitamins - your body absorbs these much more readily than pills.

Shutters? Hmmm...black seems like a good choice or rock the boat and do purple :)

Did you know that flintstone vitamins make a chewable gummi? I don't know what you are looking for in a vitamin, but my dr. says I can take flintstones instead of prenatals... so *shrug*
Shutters, I say black or white. :)

Glad to have a computer and internet back so I could say hi!

My plan is also to get off my royal hieney and move.

As far as the shutters --- I'm partial to a kind of Williamsburg blue or a brighter red that complements the brick. But I like bright colors. I wanted a lemon yellow trim and blue shutters for our brick house, but ended up with coral/salmon trim & teal shutters. These were not what we'd thought they'd be. The neighbors started calling our house the pink house.

I saw chew a Flintstones...my Dr. recommended those when all my tummy troubles arose. They less harsh on the tummy and taste WAY better. :)

Covergirl outlast opinion. I just posted my before and after photos but if you wanted to know my info for your bzz report here it is:

It was Teasing blush 415 that I tried, and I didn't think it was bad, but it wasn't as good as my Mary Kay pink Shimmer... Which is my reg. lipstick. I thought it went on smoothly, it was light weight I did forget I was even wearing it, not sticky or anything I didn't notice the smell or taste that some readers have mentioned... Overall I would try a different shade maybe once my MK is gone, the price is around half the price of the MK which is a plus for a frugal mom like myself... But I don't think I could wear this shade on a everyday basis.

I've taken One-a-Day for women before... they're not too bad.

On our first house... the previous owners had painted the (once navy blue) shutters a horrible mauve. Painting the shutters and front door was #1 on the list of things to do when we moved in... we painted them a dark hunter green!

When you find some good vitamins, please let me know!! I can't stand those horse sized pills. Like to choke on them! I didn't knwo there were chewable ones, but if I don't like the taste, it's not worth it to buy it.

For the shutters ~ I'm a big fan of hunter green. It would look pretty up against the brick!

Ok-I can not take the horse pill vitamins, I choke everytime, and the chewable ones just suck all around. I take the Prenatal vitamins called Expectra (I think) it is a yellow and white box. They are gel coated nd medium sized, but go down easier than any others and have all if not more than the reg multivitamins!
Ps- I would go black for the shutters!!

Just joining in today for the TTTF!

I take OneADays and they aren't that huge. But I guess everything is smaller than prenatal pills.

I take One-A-Day for women. Good stuff. I also take B12, which makes my pee a very bright, neon yellow.

Are you so glad I told you that? I'm awesome.

BLACK shutters. Dude, that's what we have. Black is classy. Like you.
