The perfect rainy day...

Photobucket

what is the best way to spend a rainy day?

It's hard to think about rainy days while the sun is shining so beautifully outside. Temperatures will be reaching the 60's today. The SIXTIES...it's almost like a dream.

A dream that will be ending before long because we are supposed to get rain later this week, with the heaviest downpour on Thursday. Blah.

Ideally I would stay at home, curled up on the sofa with a blanket and the remote control. Comfort food would be on the menu - like soup, pinto beans or a big steaming pot of chicken n' dumplings.

Mmmmm...

Instead my reality on Thursday will be that I have to go out in the rain. To work. And then for darts. I will be back in sweaters & socks and just trying to keep my hair from poofing* too bad.

What's your favorite way to spend a rainy day?

*"Poofing" IS the technical term when you have curly hair like mine.

Yikes! I'm familiar with the poofing factor. A good hard rain calls for a nap!

I love rain! I like to grab a blanket and put it over my head and go sit in the rain with hubs cuddling out back :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRLY

I have the opposite problem... my hair doesn't poof when it rains, it goes limp. Falls flat. Whatever.

I spend my rainy days on the couch, in fuzzy socks, with my blankie, the remote, and try to free up some space on the DVR.

On rainy days, I close all the blinds and lie on the couch with a blanket, a book, and reality tv!

LOL, my hair doesn't do "poofing", just frizzing. It's pretty fine, so it just turns into a fluffy halo :)

Oh, I can't wait for it to hit the 60's around here! But if it's gotta rain the sofa and remote look good to me too.

We have been living in the rain. And when it rains of late, my basement leaks...so I have to spend rainy days on flood patrol...which quite rather sucks.

I love rainy days. I come from a tropical island, so rain cools down the air (good solid rain, sprinkles just turn the air into a steam sauna... not pretty AT ALL). Cool days like that are meant to be spent in a hammock, taking a nap... ahh.....

I love rainy days. Except when I have outdoor plans. But when I don't, there's nothing I love more than vegging out on the sofa, snuggled up with a book or a great movie. Right now I could totally go for a John Hughes marathon.

Oh and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

These 60 degree days are awesome, aren't they? I'm gonna be sad next week when it's chilly again, but at least this week gives us hope that spring is just around the corner...

I usually spend rainy days in my craft room, making cards or scrapbooking, with Gabe making Lego creations at my side and good music on my radio. At least the rain will wash the rest of the snow away, right?

ps. I've turned several co-workers into couponing mad-women, and refer them all to your blog. One friend just saved over $100 (she hasn't used coupons in years!) and she couldn't wait to tell me. I love it! Thanks for your inspiration, Brandy. You rock!
