The lesser of two evils
is it harder for you to eat healthy or get exercise?
I literally laughed out load at this weeks question, because really BOTH are a total PITA for me.
Carbs and sweets, oh my! Those two are my guilty go-to snacks on any given day. Give me a fresh piece of bread or Dove chocolates OR combine the two for a chocolate covered doughnut and I'm in heaven.
BUT I know what I should be eating, having dieted before so eating is probably the lesser of the two evils, whereas exercise is the DEVIL!
Exercise and I are life long enemies going way back when I had to wear navy polyester shorts in gym glass & try to smoosh my boobage in a bright green tee. Having a fuller chest is not conductive to running, especially in a normal bra. At 12. Or 34.
Trust me. I've wrote about my woes before.
Anyway, I've never understood how some people enjoy exercising. And those people that "crave" it really freak me out.
I just don't get it & I probably never will.
Now it's your turn: is it harder for you to eat healthy or get exercise?

I'm one of those weirdos that crave exercise. I feel like a sloth if I don't get some form in every day.
That being said, it's definitely harder for me to eat healthy. I mean, we cook most of our own meals so we eat fairly healthy, it's just the sweet tooth in me that gets me in trouble.
u know me darl :) i made a life style change for the better only cuz ive always struggle with my weight! I changed the way my guys eat and it was for the better for all 3 of them :) i do not pressure them to exercise as hubby and Kev both work hard and when they have time they will lift weights but generally in the spring summer time! But ive noticed the last yr or 2 we do alot more activites like trips to the parks and we do lots of trail walking and bike ridding then we did a few yrs ago where we would just stay inside in the AC and play on the comps! I realised that we were not setting the right example to a lil one :) i do not exercise EVERY single day like i use to this last yr gone but its a couple of times a wk now :) still 3 hours at a time tho! Veggies are a must with every meal! And when possible i make what ever it is from scratch so i know what goes into it :) It also helps that i made all 3 of my guys watch Food Inc to help them make healthier choices when im not around!
It really depends on the day! Sometimes I'm in the mood to exercise, sometimes not. Sometimes I'm good when it comes to food...sometimes not. I think it's pretty even both ways. HA! ;-)
NON-EXERCISER HERE!!!!!
HATE it, used to do it, don't like it!
I enjoy the feeling I get AFTER I exercise, but I must admit that I don't much like to sweat.
However, I do love to eat. And I don't love to count calories. Unless I'm counting them as I burn them off.
So, I'd rather eat what I want and exercise after.
Wouldn't it be cool if you could upgrade your metabolism, and not worry about it at all?
I don't get those "exercise junkies", either.
And with all the other crap I have to get done in the day... who has time to exercise? UGH.
Totally NOT the mindset to have, though, right? Oh, well.
Harder to exercise. It easier for me (not sure why though) to plan healthy meals and to eat healthy than to make time to exercise. I am the type of person trying to make more hours in the day. And that earthquake in Brazil made the earth's year shorter - damn you global warming. I know I have said this before but Al Gore is to blame.
I'm not an exercise junkie but it is a lot easier for me to exercise than it is to eat well and in moderation. Exercise takes an hour, whereas I eat all day. If we could just combine our two attitudes, we'd be perfect!
I felt SO much better when I used to work out... and I KNOW that, but too busy/lazy to do it!
I am SITTING here, eating a BROWNIE while I read your blog. I think I have answered your question.
Okay, just 6 months ago I would have agreed with you about those crazy exercise people, but I have become one. I love my morning run - yes LOVE IT! I know, I freaked out the first time I admitted that to myself. I like the 30 Day Shred, but could live without it. I am thinking about taking some new steps in the eating category, probably a month or so off, so I would have to say eating is causing me some anxiety at the moment.
Fun post :) I love to eat (carbs and sugar -- you're speaking my language) but I'm also one of those strange people who enjoy exercising, too. I think it's the endorphins? Anyway, I end up feeling better after an hour of aerobics than I did going in. Go figure.
