Going forward...
would you rather live for a week in the past or in the future?
Initially I thought the past so I could right some wrongs. You see I was a snob and a bully when I was younger. It's not something that I'm proud of but it's the truth.
There are a few people that I would definitely treat differently if I could have a do over.
But then I think maybe that was part of my journey. I have evolved from that person into a much more forgiving, generous person. Yes, I can be snarky, but I try not to be hurtful. I try to encourage rather than discourage people & believe it or not I try NOT to have a negative attitude towards things.*
So my official answer would be the future. I'd love to see how all the kiddos look in a few years. To see how they have grown and if there was anything that I could do to push them in one direction or another.
I can only hope that it would be a good look ahead but if it isn't then getting that peek would give me an opportunity to try and make it better.
Now it's your turn: would you rather live for a week in the past or in the future?
*Notice I said try because let's be honest it is damn hard to remain positive everyday, all day, in all situations. To me that is not realistic. Not for me anyway.

I go back and forth with my choice, but I stuck with the past!
Girl I'm in the future with ya!
I haven't written my TTT post yet on this topic. It's great one. I think you're a wonderful person. I don't think there is a person alive who doesn't have some times from their past that they aren't proud of, all we can do is work to make sure we have fewer and fewer of those moments. (Having said all that, you can be snarky with me anytime.:))
The future. I want to see who I become and if is not someone I'd be proud of, I'd work not to be that person. The past is gone and I know changing one thing would change present so I wouldnt want to change it.
I chose to go back. The future is to grim right now for me to want to go there. I said no chamber pots or outhouses though. LOL.
I would say past. There are a couple of things that I would do differently. The only thing that would worry me is that I make those decisions differently, I might not have Sunshine or the boys... and I might not like that AT ALL.
When I first thought about this question, it never entered my mind to want to go to the past in order to change something. Like you said, the choices we've made shaped who we are today. I just think it would be very interesting to see how people actually lived during different times in history.
Definitely the past! I'm terrified of what I'd see in the future! I'd love the opportunity to redo some things I've TOTALLY screwed up!
You were a snob? he he heee
I'd never want to go into the future. I wouldn't want to ruin a surprise (good or bad).
I would, however, love to go back to any time that I got to spend with my Dad. Not to make any changes, but just to be around him again.
Look at me, being all sappy and crap!!
I'd definitely live a week in the past. Oh the things I would do!
Id say the future...specially at this point in our lives...id like to know if packing up selling the house and migrating to australia is the right thing for us....
