To be honest...

I have nothing remotely interesting to blog about. Being sick is not the best thing for blog fodder, unless you are particularly fond of my whining.

Thankfully Christina graced me with a new award during my time of distress.



Accepting this award requires me to list 10 honest things about myself.

1. I do not like seafood of any type.

2. S & I only knew each other for about 8 months before getting married. We got married at a local attorney's office with only his Mom in attendance. In fact he did not meet my Dad until after we were already married.

3. I have a potty mouth. Seriously, sometimes I don't even realize what I'm saying before it pops out.

4. I'm going to be a Mimi again. Lil J is going to have a brother in November.

5. I cannot stand to have wet or cold feet. Even if I'm wearing nothing else, I wear socks a lot during the winter.

6. My favorite color is green because it looks good with my eyes.

7. I tend to be overly emotional whenever I see someone crying on TV. It doesn't matter if it's a commercial, movie, or a tv show, if there is someone crying then I feel such sadness that I cry most times too.

8. I hate sneakers. I own several pairs but all of them just feel "clunky" and over sized so I rarely wear them.

9. I am afraid of death.

10. I'm tired of being sick, and sick of being tired.

At work; 98% of the time this is where I'm blogging from.

How many unpublished posts do you have in your 'draft' box?
None. Why keep all this genius to myself?!

Whose blog inspired you to start your own?
I don't know that it was one person. First, I found the "savings" blogs. Then I found a few cooking blogs and I was hooked. If you go back, waaayy back, you can see the first few posts were written with those topics in mind.

When do you usually publish your posts?
After I get to work in the mornings. Occasionally, I will have them done early enough to use post-options and set the time for early morning but it's pretty rare that I think that far ahead.

In your guesstimation, how many blogs do you read?
20-30 everyday; more when I have time to check my google reader.

How long have you been blogging for?
June 5th was my blogiversary. :o)

Why did you start blogging?
I don't know that I have an exact reason, but it seemed like fun to be able to write whatever you wanted to. Then when I started to get comments, it was really fascinating to see other people's opinions on what I was writing.

Why do you keep blogging?
I've built some great relationships with other bloggers. I love to read what's happening in their lives and share my life with them.

If you could only recommend one blog to a friend, which one would it be?
That's a tough one. I read an odd selection of blogs - everything from cooking, to savings, mommy blogs & ones that are definitely not for the PG rated peeps. Sorry, but I'm bowing out of this question. I recommend EVERYONE on my blogroll.

If the internet was "turned off" for one month, what you you do with all the time you used to spend blogging?
Ideally, I would organize my home, file papers at work and maybe tackle a few projects I've been avoiding.
Truthfully, I would be bored and overcompensate by watching more worthless reality TV or reading more.

Another Uninspired Monday Meme...Part III

41. Ever go to college? Not exactly.

42. Where are you right now? At work, in my office.

43. Biggest annoyance in your life right now? My weight.

44. Last song listened to? Good question. I *think* it was If Today Was Your Last Day by Nickelback. I love the first line-"My best friend gave me the best advice; He said each day's a gift and not a given right..."

46. Are you allergic to anything? Nope.

47. Favorite pair of shoes you wear all the time? I own over 70 pairs of shoes, but I find myself wearing flip flops all the time right now. I have on a new pair today and they are super cute!



48. Are you jealous of anyone? No. I'm not really the jealous type.

49. Is anyone jealous of you? I hope not.

50. Where is your idea of a dream vacation? Any where there are people to clean up after me.

55. Do you hate anyone right now? No. I'm not really the "hating" type. I strongly dislike individuals at various times but hate is pretty harsh.

56. Do you use the word 'hello' daily? Maybe. I've never paid attention. I probably do because I answer the phones at work.

58. How old will you be turning on your next birthday? 34. Ugh.

59. Have you ever been to Six Flags? Only once during my junior year of high school. It was a blast even though I'm not a huge fan of amusement parks.

60. How did you get one of your scars? I have a scar on my forehead, right in between my eyes from when I had chicken pox as a kid. It's not very attractive...guess when they say don't scratch, they mean it.

I mean I did the first 20 questions in an earlier post so it's not completely new, but since it's Monday, I'm just going to go with it.

21. Do you miss someone? Yes. I really miss my Granny, especially since yesterday was Mother's Day.

22. Favorite Holiday? Thanksgiving - it's all about the food baby!

23. If you had to eat the same meal everyday for the rest of your life, what would it be? Pasta. Any form of pasta.

24. Do you drink your soda from a straw? When I'm out to eat, but not normally at home or work.

25. What did your last IM say? I don't really IM too much, but last week I was IM'ing with Denise when I found out that I would be SITS FB. I HAD to tell someone, but since I wasn't sure if she was really on, it started "Are you really on or just teasing me?"

26. Are you some one's best friend? Yes

27. What are you doing tomorrow? Tomorrow? I'm supposed to have a doctors visit in regards to my lady bidness but my "visitor" may not be gone by then.

28. Where is your mom right now? Dunno. Don't care. (If you've read this post you know why.)

29. Look to your left, what do you see? Chair that holds my purse and camera next to my desk. Beyond that is my office door.

30. What color is your watch? Silver w/ an orange face. It's a Harley watch that S got me for my 30th birthday and I wear it every day.



31. What do you think of when you think of Australia? Down under, Outback, Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban

32. Would you consider plastic surgery? If there was no pain involved or fear of death, then yes. But since that's not going to happen, then no.

33. What is your birthstone? Aquamarine

34. Do you go in at a fast food place or just hit the drive thru? If I'm alone it's the drive thru, but if it's a group of us then we normally go in.

35.How many kids do you want? I have 2 stepkids but sometimes I'd like another one.

36. Do you have a dog? Yep, we have a boxer named Osrick, or Oz for short. He's about 6 1/2 years old and sweet as sugar.



37. Last person you talked to on the phone? My lil sis.

38. Have you met anyone famous? Back in the day I met Kid n Play, Busta Rhymes (and the entire Leaders of the New School group), and Jessica Simpson

39. Any plans today? Working, then home. It's raining AGAIN so I will probably wait to run errands until tomorrow.

40. How many states have you lived in? Just one - Virginia.

Another Uninspired Monday Meme...Part 1

I'm stealing this from April, who stole it from somebody else, who stole it from somebody else and so on. It's been passed around the world and back, but since I haven't done it that makes it new material for ME.

And Lord knows I need help on Mondays...

1. What is in the back of your car right now? Umm...I have a coat & a sweater in the backseat. Then in the very back back there's a laundry basket that stays there so that bags don't go flying everywhere when I drive. And paper towels.

2. When was the last time you threw up? Forever and a day ago. Seriously I have no freaking clue it's been that long. Thank goodness! I hate throwing up...it's just gross and then you have to clean the mess up. Ewwww.

3. What's your favorite curse word? Fuckity, fuck, fuck.

4. Name 3 people who made you smile today? It's still early but Stevie and CVS. I stopped in this morning on the way to work and got some amazing coupons. LOL! Yep. I'm a couponing dork.

5. What were you doing at 8 am this morning? Driving on the interstate, on my way to work with a quick CVS detour.

6. What were you doing 30 minutes ago? Getting my CVS coupons. It's only 8:48AM here so I haven't done anything but shower and drive to work.

7. What will you be doing 3 hours from now? Working, aka blogging

8. Have you ever been to a strip club? Yep. I wasn't impressed.

9. What is the last thing you said aloud? "Yeah that sounds about right." My Dad asked me if I was in a bad mood. I replied No. Are you? And he said yes.

10. What is the best ice cream flavor? Right now I'm loving coffee flavored ice cream w/ chocolate chips. But I'm not opposed to any ice cream flavor.

11. What was the last thing you had to drink? COFFEE! w/ hazelnut creamer

12. What are you wearing right now? Jeans, A7X tshirt, gray fleece, mules and plain white socks. (Which is so unlike me!) My undies don't match today...I have on a white bra, and nude colored panties.

13. What was the last thing you ate? Last night we had barbecued chicken, mac & cheese, broccoli and deviled eggs for dinner. No breakfast for me yet.

14. Have you bought any new clothing items this week? Not for me. I bought some stuff for Lil J, Beefy and BN #3 that will go in their Easter baskets.

15. When was the last time you ran? 10th grade gym class. No, really it was last week when it was raining and I didn't want to get soaked, but trust me when I say it's not that often.

16. What's the last sporting event you watched? Stevie had basketball on Saturday. I haven't a clue if it was college or NBA, who the teams were or what the hell was going on.

17. Is your TV on? No I'm at work, but I keep the radio on all day.

18. Who is the last person you emailed? I replied to a comment from Julia @ The Sporadic Cook.

19. Ever go camping? Yes, but not in the typical tent fashion. We had a toy hauler that had all of the real world amenities I'm used to - A/C, microwave, TV. I don't do "roughing it".

20. Do you have a tan? No. I have pasty white legs and funky tan lines from being sun burnt already.

The Uninspired Monday Meme

Tattooed Minivan Mom had this genius idea to do our own memes today. I think it is a brilliant idea because I'm a loser and didn't come up with any blog fodder for today. Now I can post something to keep the masses (okay all 4 of you) coming back.

Their are a few simples rules involved in playing with TMM - she likes things easy, and that's all I'm going to say on that subject. First I'm answering my own meme and linking to it on her page. Let the games begin!

1. Are you a morning person or a night owl?

Definitely a night owl. I hate getting up early and most I'm notorious for hitting the snooze button several times. In fact I purposely set my clock forward 20 minutes so that I can hit the snooze button.

2. Do you have any food hangups?

Lots. I hate seafood - all seafood - except I will eat LJS fish. I hate raw onions but would eat grilled onions everyday. I like some foods crisp, especially fries and others maybe even a little charred like hot dogs.

3. Who was your favorite singer when you were 13?

Since this is my meme, I'm going to cheat and list a group - NSYNC I meant to say NKOTB, as in New Kids On The Block but I'm a dork and got it mixed up. My Lil Sis called and told me I was stupid. OMG they were the shit back then. My favorite was Donnie cause he was the bad boy of the group. As if you could be in a boy band and also be bad. I'm so glad I didn't know that back then or it would have totally ruined the fantasy for me.

4. Do you remove your makeup every night? Better yet do you wear makeup?

I never leave my house without makeup. Sad but true. And even sadder is that I do not remove my makeup before bed. Sometimes, but most times it seems like a hassle so I just don't do it. It's pure laziness.

5. When was the last time you cried and why?

I think it was when I was watching the news a week ago and totally PMS'ing. A beauty salon had burned down in a town about 45 minutes away and I just felt so bad for these ladies on TV. Since then I have teared up watching various TV shows (Friday Night Lights) and movies. Before the news incident I cried when I heard "Fancy" by Reba McEntire on the radio.

6. What are your Valentine's day plans?

We don't have any official plans. In fact S thinks he is playing in a football tournament on Saturday cause "the games will be early". Notice I said he thinks. We'll probably do dinner and maybe have a repeat of Honeymoon night.

7. What are you most looking forward to this month?

I'm hoping for warmer weather, pedicures and sandals. But I heard that danged rodent saw his shadow so I don't know if it will be warm enough for sandals this month. Even if it's not I still want a pedicure like whoa.

8. What's your favorite reality TV show?

If you were here during theme week, you know I love a bunch of them so it's hard to choose. I think I'm going to have to ghetto with this answer and say the new season of I Love Money. You know on VH1. Oh, I'm the only one that watches that? Hmph.

9. When was the last time you were called beautiful?

Last night. Yesterday. Night before. Friday. Thursday. You get the picture. My hubs tells me all the time that I'm beautiful, pretty, hot...whatever springs to mind I guess. What I really love is when he says it and I'm in my pajamas, with yesterday's make up on and I haven't even brushed my hair.

10. Finally, how hard was it to come up with these answers?

In my case it was hard to come up with the questions...because I would write one and then think..."wait I have to answer that!" then I would backspace it all and start again.
