Star sighting?

The weather is very "Fork"-ish* this week in my part of the world. Cold, rainy, windy and foggy.

Not at all my cup of tea.

In the evenings I typically use the Blue Ridge Parkway to avoid the traffic. Besides that, the parkway provides some beautiful scenery for my commute. (Here's the visual.)

However in the mornings I find that the interstate is a lot quicker and it's more convenient if I need to stop to get gas, make a CVS pit stop, or grab breakfast. The interstate doesn't have the same visuals that the parkway does except for this:

The star is our most famous landmark. That is how it looks at night and this is how I see it most mornings.

Now see if you can find it this morning...

Eh, not so much.

So you're thinking that I didn't have a star sighting right?

You would be so wrong. Maybe.

I was following this well known face down the interstate this morning:

Apparently Bret has written a book, aptly named Roses & Thorns which he is actively promoting with a picture of his mug on a travel trailer that is being pulled by a coach bus.

I don't actually know if Bret was on the bus but I was thisclose to beeping the horn & waving at the bus like a mad woman just in case.

As you can see I use the term "star" pretty loosely.

*Why yes, that is a Twilight reference.

I quivered at the mention of "Forks" and then shook in fear at the mention of Brett Michael LOL

Haha... love the reference. I'm totally gay for all things Twilight.

And there's something oddly hot about Bret Michaels. I'm pretty sure it's recollections of his hotness from my childhood, but still... a good way to start the day! ;)

Haha! Hope you get your star back soon.

You heart him. You want to be on Rock of Love. I know you've tried it on (in a dreamy voice) "Mrs. Brandy Michaels" It's ok, you can admit it. You're among friends.

Of course I caught the Twilight ref. too.

Bret Micheals doesn't do a thing for me... except give me the urge to shower... he's dirty.

I think it makes YOU a semi-celebrity when you've been in that close of contact with a celebrity. Can I sleep with you? *wink*

*sigh* My heart quickened as I gasped with happiness at the Forks reference!

Sweet, Nov. 20th can't get here soon enough!

I hate this kind of weather too, it's going to be a long winter...

Blue Ridge Parkway is gorgeous!

That picture of Brett? No so much. He's looking more like a transexual these days.

Not that there is anything wrong with that....

Wow, that really was foggy and yeah, let's really loosen up the term star when we talk about Brett.

I love the star on your freeway. As for the star in the bus - meh. Maybe in the 80s. Now? Not sure.
