Not to be outdone this year, I have dug up a past year book from MIDDLE SCHOOL and scanned another ghoulish picture from a Halloween past.
This flashback is from 7th grade, circa October 1988. OMGosh! I know it's hard to imagine someone as cool as me being that old but it's true. Sad but true.
Obviously I was a sassy witch with strange wingie things on my cheeks. Hmmm. What can I say? The makeup seemed like a good idea at the time.
As for this year this cartoon has inspired me and with my hormones right now it seems like THE perfect fit.

I love the cartoon! I have never been creative enough to come up with a costume as an adult. I would have to use that one!
At the girls school they couldn't wear costumes today, but they could dress up as what they want to be when they grow up (within reason)... so today I'm wearing a denim skirt and denim vest and t-shirt. So Gert goes and puts on a denim skirt, a denim vest and a t-shirt. I said "Oh, you wanna be a MOmmy??" And she said "No, I wanna be a 'ministrative asstisant'"
SO tomorrow night I'll just wear this outfit again and say I'm an administrative assistant.

The last time I dressed up for Halloween was to go to a party... I don't think Shane and I were yet married. At the time, he was working part-time for Papa John's pizza... so I just wore one of his shirts and caps with a pair of jeans and had him get me an empty pizza box from the store to carry. Kinda lame, I know...
Those were just awesome! I feel like I've totally robbed myself of Halloween fun over the years.

Oddly enough, the last time I dressed up for Halloween, my costume looked a lot like yours from the 8th grade minus the makeup.
