What's up with that pole?

I was surprised so many people commented about the POLE. But since you did here's the boring, but true explanation:

It's a structural pole in my office. I work for my Dad in a home office, so technically my office is part of his basement that he remodeled into an office.

There is nothing kinky going on. The pole is necessary.

Besides if it were that kind of pole, do you really think I'd let my nephew PLAY on it? What kinda girl do you take me for?

Wait. Don't answer that.

Good thing you changed your mind and didn't want the honest truth. LOL I am sure this is a coverup, but hey! If you say so.

I think if you moved the desk...it could be THAT kind of pole.

I liked it better when I thought it was a stripper pole

That's hilarious! It didn't even occur to me to question "the pole". My gutter mind is obviously way out of practice. LOL!

there was one of those pole in my grandma's house too. I loved playing on it. Wait, maybe I shouldn't have said that.

So, then it is not a stripper pole. Gee, I thought maybe the desk was just there to help you get on the pole or assist in preventing falls.

We have one of those in our basement. For some reason the last owners covered it in carpet. Our cats LOVED it. We boxed it in and made a pillar out of it. Much better. No dancing around it, though.

LOL, stripper pole would be so much cooler than a structural pole!

But your right, what kind of Aunt would you be then!

You crack me up :)

I hope S doesn't read your blog - we may have given him some ideas. Your next home do-it-yourself project may be a pole. Remember, it's good exercise ;)

My first thought when you said that was, "Isn't that kinda thick to be a stripper pole? And aren't they usually silver?" So yeah, I never really questioned it. It didn't have the proper "pole" attributes to be used for dirty deeds, lol. But what do I know? ;)

Oh heck, I didn't even blink. I had a structural pole in the basement of my last house. The kids loved it and would do flips around it all the time!
