We're Talking TV Ovah Here

The new fall tv season has begun. That means my DVR is my bff right now while all my books sit on the console tables neglected. We have even talked about getting a second DVR unit so that we can record more than two programs at once.* Sad but true.

The thing is that I don't know if I like a show until I've seen it. Obviously. And with so many debuting in the last couple weeks it's been a tough job to narrow it down. While we are still working on it here are a few new favorites:

Blue Bloods-Drama about a family of cops starring my favorite NKOTB fellow & (still sexy) Tom Selleck

Lone Star-A con artist trying to juggle a wife, a girlfriend and his loser Dad

Chase-About a Marshall with dysfunctional upbringing that relates to the criminals she's chasing

Hellcats-College girl joins cheer squad for scholarship money (Why yes I do have 14 year old tastes)

Not to mention my returning shows: Gossip Girl, Sons of Anarchy, The Mentalist, The Good Wife, Survivor, The Real Housewives of Atlanta** and many, many, many more. It's a wonder I get anything done at home.***

What are your new favorites? I'd hate to think I was missing out on some quality tv.

*Ain't happening. Our cable bill is already ridiculous.

**Really looking forward to the Atlanta women after a very lack-luster DC season. Blah.

***Thankfully we have 6 televisions including one in the kitchen.

I have been watching Lonestar too but I am having a hard time getting into it. It does not help that comes on right after House.

I adore Tom Selleck. Yum.

I'm watching:
My Generation
DWTS
Glee
The Middle
Modern Family
and... way too much HGTV and Horders

Lone Star is one of the better shows on, but it's too different for people.

Blue Bloods was terrible. I don't want to ruin it but when one cop said, "She's diabetic. If we don't find her in 24 hours, she's going to die!"

And don't get me started on the Blue Templar thing.

LAME!

But people should watch Lone Star, so it doesn't get cancelled.

I've DVR'd the two episodes of Lone Star... have not watched them yet. I hear great things about the show, but have also heard that the ratings for it are crappy. So it will probably get canceled... and that will happen right when I get hooked on it. Sigh.

Returning favorites I'm watching are Survivor (of course), The Amazing Race, Grey's Anatomy, The Office, Glee, and Modern Family.

New shows I'm watching are Hawaii Five-0, Mike & Molly, and Raising Hope.

Yeesh, do I watch a lot of TV.

We actually just got rid of our satellite/DVR and I must say, I'm getting a lot of things done around my house that I didn't before. We needed to save money and this was a "non-necessity"...even though I get a little jealous when I see what everyone else is watching. There are sooooooo many programs I love.

So, here are the ones I'm missing:

Lie To Me
DWTS
Glee
White Collar
FlashForward
The Office
Survivor
AI

I'm sure there are more that I'm just not remembering because it's too painful.

I went for awhile without watching a lot of tv, after years of planning my life around the tv schedule. But now I watch

NCIS
NCIS Los Angelos, unless we watch
Warehouse 13 (which is over for now, I guess)
Chuck
The Mentalist
White Collar (if I can remember when it's on)
and whatever my husband turns on, because he cares more than I do.
