Honeymoon Night

At least that's what S keeps calling tonight.

I think he's a wee bit excited that SS is participating in a school function that will require him to be gone overnight. Cause we are never "teenager-less" in our house. At least not overnight.

SS often goes to his friends house on the weekends but he never stays because he works on Saturday and Sunday mornings. And the last time he was gone overnight because of school, S was with him at band camp.

I don't know what S is expecting but by calling it Honeymoon Night it is a clear indication that he is expecting something. Just google Honeymoon night and check out the images - I'm sure these are some of the same things he's thinking of, but I'm all about keeping it PG-13 around here so I'll let you do your own search.

Yeah. Right.

What would you do on a child free night? More importantly do you get child free nights? Remember I'm trying to keep my PG-13 rating.

We get child-free nights about every 5 years - how pathetic is that! We had our first in 1993 (then 2 and 3 followed closely behind) and then we got away for one night in 2001 (whoa that is 8 years) and then we got away for 3 days this past summer (7 years, oh my) at a work conference for dh. So 5 years was optomistic, hmmmm... So, we should be due again in about 2016!!! Now, these were times we actually left the house for overnight and had to have a sitter spend the night. If you mean at home overnight with no children - hasn't happened.

Have a super adult-filled night :)

We are very fortunate to get child free nights - even with our chicklet brood. Take a bubble bath together with a gigantic bottle of wine. What happens next likely will NOT be PG-13! :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm definitely feeling the SITSA love and LOVIN' it!

We have never had a "child-free" night since our son was born. I don't even remember what that's like. I'm waiting to my son gets old enough for sleepovers :) If we did have one we'd probably break out the massage oil. Hope you have fun!! Thanks for stopping by.

What is a child-free night? I would snuggle with my hubby because we can't/don't do that enough.

Stopping by from SITS.

When we were on our trip, we dropped the midget off with the hubby's sister and had a date night of dinner and a movie. We could have left her there overnight, but I wasn't ready to cut the cord yet.

I'm totally ridiculous! It's been 16 months!! I'm fine leaving her during the day, but overnight--not ready for that yet. What a wuss, huh??

PG-13 is always fun for me! ;)

I'm childless so.....that means, I don't really do anything. ha!

So I have had one child free night since my daughter (17mo) was born... so I guess it's not as bad as some other commenters. We went to My hubby;s fav. food place and then to Marley and ME for the movie. It was GREAT. very PG but that's ok.

My last kid free night? Hmmm, thinking, thinking... I think it was 3 years ago. The week before Darrell's plane crash we had spent the week in Boca Raton, Florida for a conference he was attending. But I really think I need a blogging friend weekend-- kid free!!!

We have a child-free night usually every single Saturday. The girls stay with Scott's parents.

So...
90% of the time we go out to eat (in Tennessee of course, 'cause there ain't no place decent here!), hit up Target & Books-A-Million, then go home...he plays Xbox, I read in a big bubble bath, and then...we have fun. With the music really loud.

Ahem.

PG-13 enough for you?

Well, I don't think I have any PG-13 suggestions to add, but I would love a kid free night.

I love the title of your blog.

Most likely Shane and I would stay home... just hang at the house and enjoy the silence! Maybe we'd go out to dinner. And yes, it would include some *ahem*.

Enjoy your evening! ;)

We've had child-free nites pretty much non-stop since September. Remember...empty-nesters! It's fun, but sometimes also pretty boring. As in Veggie sometimes hits the hay (alone) at 9 p.m., while the Hubz says up for the basketball game!

We don't get a childless night very often. Hell even when we go away for a night we get calls cause the ex-wife don't know how to be a mom...ooopppps..did I say that. YES I DID!!!!

We pretty much do what we want even with the kid in the house... he could sleep through a tornado, and our bedroom door locks.. mmuuuuuuhahahahaha.

Your man is expecting some serious fun, so you have too!

You know I am here to get clicky with it!

Well, we would probably start things off with a nice dinner and drinks.

Perhaps come home and then I would start to say things like "Would you like to beep my beep beeeeeep beeeep beep and then beeeeep?"

And then I would begin beeping his beeeeeep...

Okay, so none of that would really happen because I would fall asleep after the drinks.

Kid free night? Are we talking kids are in bed and not awake? (most of my nights?) or Night away from the kids and not talking about the kids? We can probably go 20 min before one of the kids names or doings will pop up!! LOL

Thanks for the welcome!!

Hope the Honeymoon night was great! We've only had a kid free night once in the last 4.5 years and we had to leave town for it. After a wonderful afternoon of video games at Dave & Busters, shopping at the mall, and dinner at Medieval Times, we definitely ended the night with an "R" rating. LOL!

My husband and I are newlyweds so we have child free nights all the time! We're also waiting a few years until we have children so we can take advantage of the many child-free nights we have until we decided to have kids!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and welcoming me in to SITS! It's so great to feel welcomed!
