Blog Fart FREEBIE Friday
Blog Farts – noun. Def: Crappy ideas that are too short to make a real blog post, but when combined, join forces to make one unified, albeit half assed, post.
Definition coined by Jaci
You didn't really think I would skip BFF just because of theme week did you?
Hell no! I'm combining them in one fabulous, (and possibly) stanky post.
-I'd really like to have my own theme song...something that plays whenever I walk into a room. Right now I'm digging the chorus from Eminem's We Made You ...You’re a … rock star (baby), Everybody wants you...
{Wait till you are kid free to click the video link; it is Eminem for heaven's sake}
-My hair needs to be colored so bad. I've been too busy/lazy to do it...and I cannot wait until my hair appointment.
-In case you missed my tweets from yesterday - I'm keeping a running list of items I hate. So far I have:
*Weatherman that couldn't predict the past
*Black socks that leave lint on the bottom of your feet
*Cramps
*@no-reply comment email addresses
-That last "hate" really became apparent when there were over a 100 comments that I could not reply to by email from Wednesday. Come on people! I promise not to stalk or spam you. Please for love of all that's holy set up a generic gmail account and allow people to see your email.
-To anyone that did not receive a reply from me-see above. This is an intervention and I can help you.
-So you know that fancy-schmancy camera I keep talking about (Sony alpha DSLR-A300K). When I got it a couple weeks ago the package included the camera w/ basic lens, telescopic lens and an all weather camera bag. (In addition to that I bought a memory card and card reader for my laptop b/c it doesn't use an SD card).
Well, this week it was on sale again BUT it included everything above in the package PLUS an extra battery for $20 LESS. I got screwed right? Wrong. My wonderful hubs went to Best Buy yesterday to buy me the second season of The Tudors and asked about it. He ended up getting the extra battery AND The Tudors for nothing.
Yep, they honored the package items and price this week which resulted in enough left over to get me The Tudors. Originally the movie was meant to be a Mother's Day gift but he was so tickled with himself that he couldn't wait.
-Now that you know what I got, here's what you can get for the FREEBIE section of this post. I'm giving away a brand new, shiny, $10 Subway gift card.
Ooooooooooh! Aahhhhhhhhhhhh!
So maybe it's not that exciting but considering that I've had awful luck getting to the post office lately, I know for a fact that I can have this mailed before Monday.
How?
Because this is a 24 hour giveaway that ends Saturday morning at 9AM EST. And then the winner has 24 hours to answer me or I will pick another name using Random.org.
Here's how to enter:
Leave me a comment telling me what your theme song should be.
Other than that, just make sure that I can contact you through your blog or email; otherwise your entry will be null & void.
Denise & Brandy - It's been a great week and I couldn't have asked for two better partners!
Everyone else - Be sure to visit those two ladies and have a great weekend! I'll be back on Monday.
No that is not a threat...it's a promise.

Thursday Three
And because I'm neurotic, I will be covering THREE things in my post.
THREE just happens to be my favorite number, so I'm feeling good about this.
Yesterday was FAB-U-LOUS. I've loved the concept of SITS ever since I joined. I felt so strongly about it that I became a Welcomista a few months ago and now being FB just brings it all full circle for me.
Thank you Tiffany & Heather for making all this possible. Thank you SITSas for coming by and sharing the love with me yesterday. Thanks to everyone who said warm and fuzzy things about me in roll call yesterday. Thanks to all my new followers. Thanks to all my old followers - without you I don't know if I'd still be doing this.
My next Thank You goes to April @ The Life of Me Plus Three because in the midst of the madness yesterday she gave me this coveted award.

As I told her this is one of my favorite awards, not because of the meaning or the rules but because of the crown.
I heart that crown.
Now for the rules:
List 7 things that make you Awe-Summ and then pass the award on to 7 bloggers you love. Make sure to tag your recipients and let them know they have won! Also link back to the Queen that tagged you.
7 things that make me Awe-Summ
1. I'm a good wife, stepmother, aunt, Mimi (don't dare call me g-ma), sister, niece and friend. I know this because I have so many people in my life that love me as much as I love them.
2. I can bake my ass off. See?
3. I'm a quick learner.
4. I have a shiny new camera that takes pretty pictures of pretty babies in tutus.
5. I love to have a good time. With or without margaritas. I'm just saying.
6. I own some really cute shoes...about 70 pair or so. Don't judge.
7. I have 90+ followers. I love you guys!
Tagging:
Yummy Mammie - a newbie!
Denise - my partner in crime!
Tattooed Minivan Mom - hopefully inspiring her to post again!
Cheryl - another newbie, who also says she is not normal!
Jayme - a longtime "web" friend of mine. We met on LiveJournal forever ago and just keep following each other in cyberspace.
Shannon - my hand holder on our trip to Ireland...if we ever go!
Carrie - even if she does like salt on her margarita glass.
Last I want to personally (and publicly) thank S for getting me another shelf for my stockpile. It was a pain in the arse to put together but he took care of it for me, with only a few nasty exchanges between us. Love ya' babe! Hugs & kisses!
Don't forget tomorrow is Freebie Friday!

Tidy Tuesday
Instead of allowing this title to dictate my evening's to-do list tonight, I threw caution to the wind and went on my weekly excursions to CVS & Wags. Therefore this Tidy Tuesday we'll be talking about "cleaning up" at the drugstores.
Ya' know getting things for cheap.
If you haven't popped over to my other blog - Craving Savings - lately, you should because I'm on top of all the deals at CVS, Wags, Food Lion and Kroger.
Although I will admit Kroger has not been impressing me with their sale ads for two weeks running. Hello, Kroger - you really should step up your game.
Ahem.
As I was saying, I've been "cleaning up" at these stores for the past nine months and counting. My savings tally for 2009 so far is
After
They are ecstatic with the savings and seeing how all those little paper coupons can really add up when you take the time to redeem them.
So instead of cleaning my filthy house for this post, I sacrificed and went on another trip to CVS to show you how easy it is to do.
Tonight I got this AND 4- 12 packs of soda:
For only 98 CENTS. As in 98 pennies...as in not even a dollar...as in less than you would pay for ONE of those Vitamin Waters.
And if I can do it, YOU can do it. Here's the perfect scenario to start you out:
1. Buy 3 Kellogg's cereal for $10 (Sale price is $3/10 for select varieties)
2. Use 3 of the $1 off Kellogg's coupons found HERE.
3. Pay $7 + tax and receive $5 ECB's.
Bada Bing baby! Welcome to the game...the drugstore game.
If you really want to be adventurous and do TWO transactions I would say to start with the Adidas deodorant that is on sale for $3.99.
1. Pay for deodorant and receive $3.00 ECB's. (BTW, there was a $1 coupon for Adidas in the 4/5 inserts that you can use if you have it.)
2. Then use that $3 ECB to pay for part of the cereal.
3. You end up spending $8 out of pocket, but you have 3 boxes of cereal, deodorant AND $5 ECB's to show for it.
How ya' like me now?
Yep, I'm "cleaning up" and you can too!
Now that I've admitted I have an addition to a certain drugstore in my area, and that my house is filthy, feel free to leave me a comment about how great I am. No, really I won't mind. Then head over to Denise and Brandy's place to see what kind of "cleaning up" they are doing for Tidy Tuesday.
Moody Monday
Sort of like my mood. Plus I'm tired.
I blame some of that on that blasted VH1 station, because even though I vowed that I would not watch Daisy of Love I found myself still up at midnight watching those rejects blubber over Daisy.
VH1's power over me is stronger than I thought. I wonder if there is a rehab group for reality tv addiction.
Let's be honest though. My entire Sunday was full of television. When we woke up to rain, S and I planted ourselves on the couch to catch up on DVR. We watched 90210, Life, The Mentalist and The Mentalist again when we both fell asleep during one of the episodes.
I tore myself away from the couch long enough to make dinner and then we resumed our positions in order to watch The Celebrity Apprentice.
BTW, is anyone else watching CA and hating Annie Duke? I used to like her in a way where you're proud of her success because she's a woman. Now that I've seen her in action though, I cannot stand her. She is really obnoxious.
As you can see I'm rooting for Joan.
So far I'm dark, gloomy and lethargic. Add to that a little anxiety and irritation -then it would an accurate description of me at this very moment.
Anxiety because I have a "lady doctor" appointment next week. It doesn't matter how old I get, or how many times I go, I still hate it. While necessary it's still humiliating and uncomfortable.
I hate lying there while the doctor and nurse discuss mundane topics, like what they are taking to a barbecue that weekend. That happened last time and let me just say that you don't want to have people talking about baked beans and potato salad while peering at your who-ha.
It's not a good place to be in.
Topping off my little mood cocktail this Monday is irritation. This morning I woke up after the alarm went off. The FIRST time. That never happens, but it did this morning.
I got up, went downstairs and packed up my laptop for work, then came back upstairs to shower. I was in and out before S's alarm ever went off so I was feeling a bit proud of myself.
That is until S got out of the shower and made a comment about me leaving the bathroom fan on. Say what?
It's true, in between getting up and going downstairs I cut the fan/light on when I set my towels in the bathroom. Apparently you aren't supposed to have the fan on if you're not in the shower. Or something like that.
I don't know, and frankly I didn't care. I was on time for once and I wanted to bask in the glow of that, not be chastised for cutting on the fan.
Let's just say that my morning didn't start off as I had imagined it. Thank goodness Monday is only one day...and Tuesday is right around the corner.
Welcome to Theme Week! Once again I've teamed up with Denise and together we've

Flashback Friday

Growing up I had no idea this little bundle of joy would become my best friend, soul mate and husband. Thankfully fate was on our side.
I was first attracted to your look, your confidence and your attitude.
Before long I was feeling twinges of love and butterflies in my stomach whenever we were together.
We didn't date very long before we were married, which I'm sure was a mystery to those around us. I just knew you were the one.
Every year we've been together has been better than the one before. We may not be perfect but we are perfect for each other.
Your love for me and your family is unconditional. Your strength is something that we pull from. Your loyalty is unwavering.
You showed me love, made us a family and took me on adventures that I'd only dreamt about.
S, I love you more than I ever thought possible. You brighten my world. I pray that everyone will experience a love like ours in their lifetime and know what it feels to be truly loved.
Happy Birthday Snookums!>
Now the rest of you go gag somewhere else. When you're done go visit Denise's Flashback Friday.

5. Enjoy dessert. In moderation.

What The @#$%? Wednesday
After visiting at least a 100 other blogs (maybe twice that many!) I'm bushed. Last night I emailed my partner-in-crime for Theme Week Denise and told her to expect a later post from me today cause I just wasn't motivated last night.
And now I'm wondering where all the comments are today? Yes! I'm having comment withdrawal already. WT!@#?
This is sure to get me plenty of comments...have ya'll seen the new Britney faux pas video?
A lot of people are saying WT!@#? but who are they kidding?! It's not the first time her vajayjay has went public. It was just the first time she was coherent enough to care.
Meow! That was a little catty huh?
I'm not picking a winner until Noon (EST) today so you still have time...
The winner has been announced HERE!
So leave me some comment love and then head over to Denise's place and check our her What The...? Wednesday post!
**EDIT**
Please head over to Eat at Home today. Tiffany is doing a great "fundraiser" of sorts. All YOU have to do is comment on her post and for each comment a $1 will be donated to the Compassion Global Food Crisis Fund. For EACH comment up to 100. Come on people you can do this!

Congrats Preston! The best BITS out there just earned himself a $20 Target card! WOOHOO! His least favorite chore is cleaning the toilet...I'd have to say that was the #1 answer, followed closely by laundry.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Since it's Theme Week around these parts, the official blogging topic is Tidy Tuesday but since it's also SITS Spring Fling I'm not going to talk about actual cleaning.
Besides I don't really like to clean.
Instead let's talk about YOU cleaning up when you win my SPRING FLING Giveaway!
I know you've got a lot of blogs/giveaways to get to today so I'm going to keep it short and sweet. Like me. Except I'm 5' 6" and not always sweet, but I digress.
There's a $20 Target gift card up for grabs...
And to win just leave me a comment telling me your LEAST favorite chore.
That's it. That's all.
Oh and please make sure that I have some contact information for you, because if I can't reach you then I gotta void your entry.
A winner will be drawn using Random.org at Noon on Wednesday, March 11th and the winner will have 24 hours from that time to contact me.
Now pop over to Denise's Tidy Tuesday post. I'm sure it's superior to mine and she's got a great Spring Fling GIVEAWAY going on too!
Multipurpose Monday
I started thinking of how versatile a simple toothbrush can be.
Obviously the small size makes it perfect for grooming your eyebrows.
Or getting rid of those pesky rough heels. That is if you didn't just get a pedicure on Saturday where the girl already made your feet baby butt smooth before lacquering your toe nails in green.
Use it when there are unmentionables laying around that you would rather not touch.
But it's not just for the bathroom. Take it to the kitchen to help clean up small spills on the counter top.
Or cleaning the back splash that got grimy.
Finally, when you're done be sure to wash your hands and clean your nails.
Betcha didn't think a toothbrush could be used for so much. Hmmmmm neither did I, but you'll do just about anything to make sure you start off the week right with a semi-funny post.
I'd like to say that the toothbrush was not harmed in the making of this blog post, but alas it gave it's life for Multipurpose Monday. There was no way in hell I could use it again. For anything. Oh and all these pictures were totally staged so I really can't attest to whether they really work. I'm a fraud. Sorry about that.
Have you guessed yet? Theme Week is BACKKK! So go visit Denise and find out what's she's saying about Multipurpose Monday. And then come back tomorrow as we both celebrate SITS Spring Fling with a GIVEAWAY!
Life Lesson Thursday
-Creating fire and reading maps are valuable skills.
-Less is not always more, especially when you're talking about clothes.
-People around you will not appreciate it if you eat all the food, steal their (dirty) socks or just lay around on your lazy ass while they do all the work.
-While knowing a foreign language is helpful, being able to speak the English language is essential. (Thank goodness for subtitles.)
-Do not serve raw chicken to someone you want to impress. (Or live.)
-If you are cheating on your significant other, going on cable television will make it obvious and they will find out.
-Someone is always watching you. (Even when it's dark and you are under the covers.)
-Never trust anyone if you are both going after the same prize. (Although I use the term "prize" loosely when referring to Flavor Flav, New York, or Tila Tequila.)
-Guys named Spencer are douchebags. And so are their sisters.
-If the only person telling you that you have talent also gave birth to you, chances are you don't.
-Drinking too much will cause you to puke.
-Massages can be very persuasive.
-Dating the same man and/or woman as 19 others at the same time is not the way to find true love.
-It's never okay to lie about having cancer.
-Drugs are bad.
-Not all people are meant for closeups.
-Even rich and beautiful woman have self esteem issues.
-Just because you work in a restaurant doesn't mean you can cook.
AND FINALLY...
-It is acceptable to call someone a whore, bitch, slut, etc. but never, never, never talk about someones mama. Especially if they can spit long distance or you're wearing a weave.
What have you learned from watching reality TV?
Let me know in the comments and then go learn more from Denise in her Life Lesson Thursday post.
Theme week will be wrapping up tomorrow and we saved the best for last so be sure to come back on Friday!
What the ____ ? Wednesday
My original thought was to post a crazy picture of everyone proving to you that I'm not the only one that is mentally challenged (insert profile pic here) in my fam.
BUT once I started going through my pictures I found that THE. BEST. PICTURES. by far were of Lil Sis...
...who apparently has a thing for props.
Yeah she has issues but I still love her!
Now straighten up that crooked face so you can see Denise's What the ___ ? post clearly!
Be sure to come back tomorrow for more Theme Week goodness!
