So it seems to reason that you might not know that I'm pretty domesticated too. Granted S does the laundry but I do most of the cooking at our house. Otherwise we would eat a lot of Luck's pinto beans**. Trust me it's better that I do the cooking.
And I enjoy it. Minus the clean up part.
But baking is my real passion. Creating something out of flour & water and watching it become something amazing is a complete rush for me.
These are just two of the character cakes I've made over the years. My family still talks about the year I made a race car track for my two oldest nephews complete with jello cars. And about the Sponge Bob cake I free handed.
Cookies, pies, sweet breads and cakes...all good stuff, but nothing compares to fresh yeast bread. I really love making a fresh loaf of bread. This No-Fail French Bread has been in my rotation for the last few weeks.
Then I stumbled across this recipe for Bread Machine Buttery Rolls.
They say a picture is worth a million words...get a load of this:
Pass the butter
**My husband is partial to Luck's pinto beans. And by partial I mean these are the ONLY kind of canned pinto beans that he will eat. Whenever it's his turn to make dinner I can guarantee Luck's will be part of the menu. It's a small price to pay for a husband that does the laundry. That ALWAYS does the laundry. Jealous much?

Those rolls look delish. I have a weakness for bread - honestly what's better than bread and butter? Okay, a snickers bar and diet coke are close, but bread and butter still steals my heart. Yes, jealous is a word I would use when talking about your laundry doing hubby - if only that would happen here.
Wow, impressive both the cake and the rolls. And yes, I totally agree, please pass the butter.
The cakes look great! YUMO the rolls look delish :) i currently have a 10grain bread dough rising i love making bread! Even tho i dont personally eat the bread myself :)
Can I borrow your husband? I'll even eat beans if he does all my laundry.
Wow! A man who does the laundry and cooks too?! :-)
Hey who am I kidding....I'm too anal about my laundry and how it's folded and hung up too, to ever allow my man to have a go at it. But it would be nice if I could trust him to do it MY WAY. :-)
But....Wow wow WOW!
I am so impressed with your cakes.
I'm one of those grocery store bakery cake moms. Sad, I know....
I wish I knew how to decorate a cake the likes of yours. Those are fabulous!
But I can bake bread....so I shall help myself to your roll recipe. Thanks! :-)
And I'll check out your couponing blog as well.
Hope your day has been beautiful....
If I hadn't just eaten dinner, I'd have to wipe the drool off of my computer screen; those rolls look beyond delicious!
You go on with your bad baking self...
And yes, I am jealous about the laundry-doing husband. Very.
Yum!
I wish you lived closer. I'd buy a cake from you for sure. Those look fantastic.
I don't really want to repeat myself... but I will.
I love carbs. Carbs are my favorite.
Wow, those cakes look AMAZING!! I too love to decorate cakes, but don't do it much...my sister just started taking a cake decorating class, had I have known I would have joined her...but it's too late..anyway...Great JOB!!!!
Bread bread bread bread bread bread. I love bread. Those rolls look delish!
Impressive cakes! And I saw those rolls the other day on her site and drooled on the keyboard. I can't wait to fire up my bread machine and give that recipe a try!
I tried to make a cake like that once and it was just an ugly mess! The cake itself, no prob...the decorating eh not so much
I love love my bread machine!!
Great looking cakes too!!! Girl you got talent!
Man, good job on those cakes, girl! That takes some serious skillz. I'm super impressed!!
And that bread? Looks ridiculously scrumptious. Can you mail me some?
I like to cook. And I love bread. But I don't make bread. I think yeast frightens me :-) I just buy the frozen Sister Schubert rolls...oh my they are addicitive.
And here I thought this was going to be a dirty post...
I can beat that.
My hubs does laundry and bbq's... no beans here.
