Blessed

I woke up late this morning. Thirty minutes late.

"Bad hair day" doesn't even begin to describe what's going on with my locks today.

I'm congested so bad that the phlegm is gagging me. Disgusting but true.

The teen's nonchalant-ness is sometimes irritating.

I've already picked off some of my makeup.

My fuel light came on halfway to work.

Just realized I don't have anymore Coke Zero. Not that it matters since...

I can't taste my Hazelnut coffee because of this ding dang sickness.

And yet all this pales in comparison to what is happening in Haiti.

I have a home to wake up late in.

All my possessions are safe.

I know where my family is.

My sickness will pass.

Doctors are accessible to me if it doesn't.

I don't worry about my next meal or clean water.

In fact I'm feeling quite blessed today.

Are you feeling blessed like I do today? One way you can help is texting “Haiti” to 90999 to send a $10 donation to the Red Cross.(The charge will appear on your next cell phone bill.) Or go to Hope for Haiti where they are raising money one dollar at a time via raffles.

Please keep them in your prayers as they struggle through this disaster.

I hope you feel better soon. Yes, it is wonderful to know that you are blessed. I think that people often forget that when they go about their lives.

I know. It is absolutely heartbreaking. Yes, even on our very worst days, we are still supremely blessed.

Hope you feel better soon. Oh, and thanks for the heads up on the text donation thingy.

Amen sister. Went to DR today. Great news is it is not strep. Bad news, amoxicillin for 10 days for whatever it is.
Hope you feel better soon.

Amen my friend. We have it so good here even when there isn't major devastation somewhere else. Our blessings always ourshine any hardships we may think we are enduring.

I've heard talk of numbers as high as 75,000 dead. It is unfathomable. Especially in a country that is already in such bad shape. We are blessed, indeed.

You're so right. We really don't know suffering at all.

Good post. It is shocking what the Haitians are going through. I think we should just bring them all to Canada. We have the room and many of us speak French already.

I also found out you can donate to the Red Cross for Haiti at Lowe's...we've had a busted pipe so we've been going quite often!

Great post on perspective! This turmoil in Haiti is just awful. I'm so glad that I was finally able to put my texting addiction to use for something good.
