My bad...

I know I never posted yesterday but it was pretty busy around here. Then after work we had darts.

I'm still a good person though.

I promise I am.

Look I can prove it.

I made cookies for the boosters bakesale and snack mix for the hospitality tent. There were other ways I could have spent my Friday night but instead I did my duty at the stove.

I bought and delivered 20 plastic & 20 real pumpkins to Bratty Nephew #3's school for his Halloween party.

Delivery included carrying all the pumpkins to the classroom. And while I'm a good person, I'm not too smart. I didn't think to put them in some sort of container or bag so Sis and I had to carry 40 pumpkins and a baby through the school hallways.

Totally was worth it. Just look at his face.

Then I stayed for lunch. Sat in a little chair, at a little table with my knees near my chin while little kids gawked at me. I'd say that makes me good right?

Tomorrow morning I will be up before the sun in order to sell pancakes to the masses at our local Applebee's. In our community Applebee's provides us with a fundraising oppurtunity by selling tickets to a pancake breakfast. They provide the facility, the food and the cooks. The students (& parents) will collect money, serve and bus tables. We get to keep all the ticket sales; last year we raised $3000+ for about 4 hours of work.

I'm not a morning person so I'm being good by volunteering to work the early shift.

I took this one to the doctor a couple weeks ago. For FIVE shots. For sure that makes me a good aunt.

On Sunday I bought SS an IPOD touch for his 17th birthday. On Tuesday I found out that our WV pals are coming in so I've planned to have a surprise gathering at a bowling alley with his friends to celebrate.

I changed this one's diaper on Sunday.

I'm good because I'm sharing this adorable picture with you guys. Just try to look at it and not go "awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww"...

And finally I'm good because I did not get out of my car this morning and physically assault the lady that rode straight through a stop sign. Causing me to slam on my brakes, throw all my stuff to the ground and give myself a sore neck. I'm good because I didn't proceed to follow this lady to wherever she was going and give her a piece of my mind and taking with me a few pieces of her hair. I'm good because I'll refrain from finding her house and slashing her tires as I've fantasized about for the last hour.

I'm good because S told me I need to be. TGIF!

Mail call!

Last month Kat hosted her first ever gift swap - A Favorite Things Swap.

It just so happened that out of 43 bloggers she got my name. And boy am I glad she did! Yesterday she gave a little preview to what I was getting...

Suffice to say I was estastic to get home and see it sitting on my kitchen table. After opening my packages I think Kat is my long lost sister. She and I seem to have very much in common right down to the packing material we used.

That "mountain" behind my goodies is made up of grocery bags from Kroger and other various sources. And here I thought I was quite clever in using them in the package I sent to Angie.

Here's a list of the greatness I received:

Cucumber Melon handwash from BBW - A regular staple in my house
Pumpkin & Spice shower gel - It smells good enough to eat.
Sharpies!!
Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie who I adore
Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal by Christopher Moore - a humorous look at religion
WICKED journal - I guess after I stalked her page in order to hear the broadway tune Popular from Wicked it was pretty clear I would love this. And I do.
3 magazines - FULL of recipes
HUGE, I mean GINORMOUS bag of Peanut M&Ms - That S prompty tried to steal

I was thrilled with everything - getting to know Angie and Kat a little better, plus I love getting this kind of mail. I'm definitely in for the next one.

Bring. it. on.

I wasn't the only one to get a package yesterday. Look what our WV pals sent S...

They are hardcore Barrack supporters and S adores Palin. Not for her politics - he just thinks she has that hot teacher look.

And if you want to know what a GILF is, just let me know...

A few random thoughts...

I saw a special about Cheerwine the other night and I cannot stop thinking about it. *Checking to see if they carry it locally.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I know that people grieve in different ways but this is just too much. I was sitting in Zaxby's drive thru picking up my healthy lunch. There was a van in front of me that had writing on the windows like this...
Except it said RIP Nephew & I'll never 4 get.
I'm not sure what was more tacky...the van or the fact that I was trying to get my camera out before the light changed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I have been at Kat's page a dozen times between yesterday and today to hear Popular from Wicked. To avoid being called a stalker I've found a version on you tube that I'm posting for MY your viewing pleasure.

If you have a chance to see this Broadway show - DO IT! It's amazing...and worth every cent.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My sis won tickets to see Seether and Staind next Tuesday. She has generously offered them to me if she cannot go...I'm the back up plan.
But...I have a booster meeting. Skip or not? I'm leaning towards SKIP! I'm so bad.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

My tattoo appointment has been moved to October 21st...

It seems like I'll never get it. :[

Last but not least...

PMS sucks. The end.

It's just dumb...

Why do people ask for your opinion if they don't really want it? I'll never understand.

My booster vice prez this year has a lot of giddee-up-go-get-em in him, which I love... most times. But there is also something annoying about it because he just comes up with these off the wall ideas and then when I don't jump all over them he becomes defensive.

Creativity is good...to an extent.

But...

We still have bylaws and school regulations that we have to abide by. Not just for our booster group but the good of the band. The last thing we need is to piss school officials off. It's bad enough they don't even supply the funds promised last year, much less what would happen if we get on their bad side.

I hate always have to be the "bad guy" but someone has to delicately explain we can't always do whatever we want and that's my job this year. To be the bearer of bad news. To say we need approval. To remind him that we have bylaws that must be followed.

And to make it worse my band director is the biggest wussy boy there is with no backbone and a fear of confrontation.

Ugh.

It's a good thing I love those kids.

Actually, I think I'll let him do whatever he wants...sell ad space on the band truck, store our equipment in areas that don't belong to us, or tattoo the freaking school mascot on his forehead if that's what he wants.

And then watch the band director squirm when it's time to explain.

Cause that would be good. Very good for me.

I know. I'm evil...I do have on my Wicked shirt today. Doesn't that say it all...
